Golf grips

You can if you play a lot. They tend to wear out.

They felt like they moved, or allowed the shaft to move, in my hands. Disnt like the feel and they couldn't have sucked any more when wet.

Weird . . . that's exactly the way they felt to me. I never trusted that the clubhead was going where my hands were telling it to. When the weight of the club hit my left thumb at the top of my swing, it felt like I was holding jello.

Very similar. Guess I just have to have something fairly firm. That molded Jello thing just didn't work for me. I even hate it on putters. For a while, it was the only thing that you could find on a new putter.

Now when it comes to putter grips, I endorse an unconventional solution:

i like it on the putter. it reminds me it's a totally different club that requires a totally different though process.

I know it looks goofy as hell, but it has made a huge difference for me. I stuck it on an old Odyssey 2-ball and I feel like I can roll the ball exactly where I want to every time. The confidence boost has actually changed the way I manage the course because I'm not worried about stuffing it from the fairway every time in order to make a birdie. I'd recommend it to anybody that is even slightly 'handsy' with the putter.

I understand. I started missing my lines left more often than just random poor strokes. Started putting left hand low and start everything on line. I'm back to playing well because there's little heat on the rest of my game. I feel like I can get up and down so I can just unload it. Amazing how many more good shots you hit when there's no forcing.

Hey Gavol, we are going down to the Masters tuesday round and want to play on monday. Any suggestions? Most private clubs are closed on mondays, but we'd like to play somewhere in GA. We call it, The Disasters due to propensity for someone to double 18 and blow it.

I'd stay away from anything in the vicinity of Augusta since they like to jack up green fees during Masters week.

You might try this one . . . HARD LABOR CREEK. It's a state park course about halfway between Atlanta and Augusta in Rutledge. It's about 10 minutes off I-20 in the middle of nowhere, but it's very reasonable price-wise and is usually in really good shape. It's about an hour ride from there to Augusta.

Thanks. Looks nice. Also looks like I better be driving straight.

Got my clubs back Saturday. The inch extension is great. I don't have to reach for the ball near as much, and I am hitting the ball with the center of the club face consistently. Definitely worth the investment. I don't think my back will be near as sore from now on after a round.
