Gonna be just fine

You just have a different system for rating players. I don't think Milton is "bad". Bad is bad to me. Sucking things or not. And you said "pretty bad". He tears up teams like Vandy. He may not can win the big games but that doesn't make him bad just because he doesn't deliver in the clutch (which he's doing right now). Imagine if the D plays this well next year. Tenn will be in Atlanta.

Yeah definitely comes down to what we consider “bad”. But I hope he proves me very wrong and everyone can put my posts up to laugh at.

Will be most of us. I've said things too. I think they'll be OK with him but no one is thinking Atlanta next year anyway.

I may be watching a different game than you but there isnt a 14 on the scoreboard anymore

Fair enough. Let’s see if he can close this out. 21 isn’t going to win it (28 might not, either) or many other college games for that matter.

Wait, I thought Milton was like 11/21 for 147 yards and a TD against Vanderbilt?

Didn't read the thread. Sure there are a lot of terrible takes by the Milton hating crew. Great game by Joe. Nearly perfect, mistake free football, nearly 300 and 3tds vs a loaded defense and one of the best coaches in CFB this decade.

It is early but it looks like we will be just fine at QB next year.
We may not hit as many bombs next year, but we I bet will hit a lot more 15-30 yard strikes.
A lot more and not having Hooker….No ! And no Tillman no Hyatt and no Fant….No ! I hope I’m wrong and Milton finds a better touch on the ball. But I’m not the commentators who continue every game every halftime or after the game. Saying everything that I see watching ! Let’s all hope

Looks like Milton took a big step forward tonight. Hats off to him. He also seems like a great teammate and locker room leader. I thought a couple of times he made poor decisions or took sacks but we also saw him make some great throws and look off safeties etc. showing a good command of the offense. Squirrel will be fun to watch next year and Bru and Ramel are a solid bunch of receivers. Go Vols.

If Joe can learn to put air under his passes, we will have plenty of bombs. Most guys don’t need to quite as much air under it because many times they under throw it and gives the corner time to catch up.

Basically these other dudes don’t have the rocket launcher Joe has!

Joe looks better in control of passes but still needs to work on pocket presence and decision making when it collapses

This. 6’5” 245+ ...he should be going through defenders, not cowering from a hit. Needs a bit of work on accuracy and touch. Squirrel White bailed him out big time by tracking that pass down
Look like tarzan,run like Jane

The thing I like about Milton is he seems to want to be here and he's not cocky. I'd rather have him that some 5* QB that you fear is gonna transfer all the time. I wished folks would get off his back

Bad enough to win MVP…

Milton had a solid game last night against a really good defense, but that’s one game. I stand by what I said, he’s inconsistent. Inaccurate at times, pretty bad pocket presence/awareness, and not the greatest runner. We’ll see how next year unfolds when he has to do it week after week, but he definitely did the job last night. And I hope he does it all next year too, winning is fun.
