Milton had a solid game last night against a really good defense, but that’s one game. I stand by what I said, he’s inconsistent. Inaccurate at times, pretty bad pocket presence/awareness, and not the greatest runner. We’ll see how next year unfolds when he has to do it week after week, but he definitely did the job last night. And I hope he does it all next year too, winning is fun.
He had 10 TDs and 0 INTs this year in limited playing time. I do not think he will be as good as Hendon Hooker. I do not think we will have the #1 offense next year, but that doesn’t mean Milton will not be very good. Hooker was special. We were spoiled with him this year. If Milton is not as good as Hooker, that does not mean Milton is bad or deserves harsh criticism.
Yep. I, of all posters, lacked faith in Milton. I'm sitll not 100% sold on him. One game is one game. Still, he provided some hope that he can win the job and lead the team next year. I think the mistake I made is comparing him to Hooker. Heupel caught lightning in a bottle with that guy. Milton is no Hooker. The offense won't look that way with him running the show, but our defense should be much better so maybe we should get used to seeing games more like last night than the huge numbers Hooker gave us?A little early to be making proclamations either way.
Not about Milton, but I was really pleased to see Eason get so much playing time. I have been big on him all year and he really started to shine. He could be a dominant force for us next year. He can do a lot of TheBeave things Baron can, athletically, in a slightly bigger frame.
