Yes. Austin Peay and MTSU are in our back yard. Both of those teams had Tennessee born players that UT didn't consider in recruiting and they came in and smoked us.

Another in a long line of totally ignorant comments from you. Geez, you do it in almost all sports too.

I'm sure Dave has a list in his top drawer with proven coaches. I'll let him make the calls.

Another dumb statement. Hart hasn't had the first thought about replacing Martin. Suggesting so enhances your already remarkable stupidity

Hart has a list of replacements in every sport. You don't start the process when you need a coach. It's called preparation. Unexpected things happen - coaches leave, die, get drunk with strippers, get caught in scandals., etc. Hart's job is to be ready when/if it happens.

Harts list(according to UT IE 95)

1. Coach K
2. Coach Izzo
3. Coach Roy Williams
4. Phil Jackson
5. Jim Calhoun

I don't need a list, Martin wildly exceeds some Tennessee men's basketball fans expectation. That's good enough. He'll make the NCAA tourney some day. Hey, I hear that 2013 recruiting class is looking good. Wink, wink.

I agree but continuing to argue your original point is senseless. Martin is a good coach and isn't going anywhere in the near future. If he does leave, it will be for another job and to get away from the idiots in our fanbase.

Interestingly enough, Martin has the ability to shut the idiots up. Winning cures all. Getting bounced from an also-ran tournament at home by a team from the Sun Belt Conference doesn't help matters.

Losing to MTSU last week didn't hurt him with his bosses. It hurt him with uninformed, ignorant fans, who, by and large, make up a small fraction of the fanbase.

Are you ready to admit your early season, knee-jerk overreaction was inappropriate?

CCM could win a national chsmpionship next year and he'd still stand by his statement as true.

Don't mind me, just checking in on the post count.

A particular Mark Twain quote comes to mind....

Carry on.

I'm sure they have no problem paying a guy $1.5M for that flop performance in the last game of the year. Right. Is your world made of sugar plums and candy canes too?

Not at all. I just happen to understand how it works and have a pretty good idea of what Hart thinks of Martin. Let's just say Hart likes him a lot and I know that for a fact.

the fact you're still trying to defend your position speaks volumes. It's ok. It's not your fault you don't know any better. I have several close friends who are engineers and every single one of them will arue their point regardless of how wrong they are or how stacked the facts are against them. It's in your blood :)

When you say "at this point," do you mean when he first signed up for VN?

Wow I dont know I would say he is trolling. But original gut feeling about Cuonzos hire turned out to be wrong. Just to stubborn to give him a chance. I was underwhelmed by the hire but I have no problem admitting that Cuonzo overachieved so I am proud he is our coach.

I hope you never have a bad few days at work. Cause we all expect you to march into your bosses office and fire yourself.

First. Year. Coaching. Here.

Learn those words. Martin may be here 10 years or 2 years, but this is his first year coaching at this University. There are going to be bumps in the road. We lost a preseason game to Indianapolis last year, shall I point out what division they are? Before you say it was preseason, there are highschool teams that would have blown the doors off that team.

I have to assume he's already been fired because of terrible performance. He's so damn angry and wants everyone else gone, too.

When you get into the real world keep this in mind, no one fires the boss. If I do a bad job I may go broke, but I'll never be fired.
