Every team worth a damn has this same situation. It's college basketball and good teams have frequent turnover. What percentage of scoring loss from last season did the national champs have?
UK returned 54% of their scoring. Nice try.
Florida returned 56% of their scoring, Bama returned 72%, Vandy 96%. tOSU 66%, Louisville 73% etc. etc. Yep, happens everywhere or should I continue?
This is a played out excuse. There is plenty of talent on this roster to beat Austin Peay. All the star grazers have posted the ranking of this roster and it's fine.
Bruce sure did a great job of developing them, didn't he? It's basketball, bad losses happen. Seem to recall we lost to a Div II team at home by 15 when we were ranked in the top 25. How quickly you forget the Charlotte and Oakland losses from Bruce's last year.
Fact is, the SEC is a three tier conference. There is UK, a second tier, and a third tier. The second teir teams sucked and we moved from the third teir to the second. Look no further for conference suckitude than the fact that the team that finished second didn't even make the tourney.
Yep, SEC sucked so bad that 2 of the final 8 teams were from the Conference.
