Our rebounding killed them, but the zone was more effective than their attempt at man. That was the weakest team on the boards we'll see all year. I thought Kenny Hall was soft, but Petros made Kenny look dominant inside.

The only way CCM's style will play in Knoxville is by winning at a high level. Watching 2 star recruits playing defense isn't going to sell many tickets or win many games.

Also, mind telling me wisonsins attendance and where it ranks nationally? (if you don't get the reference, they play a very slow, defensive minded game as well)

Rivals rarely rates bk players as 2 star like they do football players so 2 star and 3 star are basically the same.

What does Wisconsin's attendance have to do with anything? They have always been a better bk school in a historically better bk conference plus they have made the NCAA tournament 14 straight seasons. Our history shows if the product on the court isn't exciting people are not going to want to see it. Vol fans absolutely hated Kevin O'Neill basketball after the newness wore off. Pearl sold the program, played up tempo and made it fun. As a result average attendance went from 13K to over 20K. Last year we were already down to an inflated 16K average and this year will be less then that. Another thing that will hurt attendance is the fact that there are no players on this team that the fans just love to watch play like we had with Lofton, Chism, Tobias and even Hopson etc. You can think whatever you like but the proof will be in the actual numbers. Of course when the arena is half full UT will still claim a 15,000+ attendance. In Buzz Peterson's last year we averaged 13,500, last year 16,500 compared to 20,400 in 2009.

I'm the idiot? Stars really don't mean much? Which of these "3 star" players were ranked to low and are actually better then that? Chievous, Makanjuola, Richardson, Washpun, Edwards, Moore, Reese? How many 3 star players has Kentucky signed lately? Who has been the better team?

If you think Vol fans like slower tempo basketball just as much as up tempo then just watch the numbers after each home game. Last years inflated attendance numbers were already 20% less then the peak in 2009.

The team already looks better than last year. Gotta give Cuonzo a chance to recruit the type of players that fit his defensive scheme. It's much different than pearl's run and gun style and not as exciting but as long as we put up Ws I don't care.

UK is doing amazing with all of their 5 stars....senior Hall (4star) is doing so much better than (3 star) sophomore Richardson...or how come 4 star swiper boy sat on the bench last year while 3 stars were playing in front of him? Stars aren't everything man ask Scotty Hopson.

Problem is we are not winning
Pearls teams did not have a good scheme in the half court offense either but he still at the top of SEC in scoring because of steals and fast break scores. If u can't shoot against a zone then u have to beat them down the floor
