First of all whoever said he gives his all every game is an idiot! Golden hasnt played the entire game one time his whole career. He does not know how to hustle. I feel sorry for Coach Martin, that he has to watch Golden play. There are 10,000 Trae Golden is the country. Im sorry, Im usually not a negative guy but he SUCKS!!! I would rather play with 4 than watch his effort. And for everybody that says he scored 15 points tonight and we couldnt win without him, are idiots too! I can score 15 pts if I shot as much as him. JUST TERRIBLE!

judging from this post, it is obvious that you never attended college and would have 4 years of eligibility left. When can we have this guy signed up to be the savior of our program?

Should be in his closet hanging himself after this game.

im gonna give you one chance to say that either a. you werent talking about me or b. you were completely joking and shouldnt have said this. this is not something you say i dont care what your reasoning is, you dont joke around about this. so as i said you have one chance to redeem yourself or apologize.......

i assume you are referring to me. i said we wont, which we still wont that hasnt changed unless you have found a scholarship. at this point we better hope stanton is as good as some on here are saying.

Geez... we can find a scholarship. This team has to have a PG and there is not one one the current roster.

And Stanton won't add much.

i am with you we could use a pg it would really help this team but you dont just find scholarships. the other thing is there apparently arent any big time juco guards, someone was looking the other day.

ive honestly not decided yet but i dont joke about that i dont find it funny. i lost a family member that way, and the fact that some uk fan is gonna come on here and say that to me for no reason what so ever is not ok. as much as i may disagree with certain people on some topics im never going to tell them to die, thats a little extreme.

Miller
Washpun
McRae

There is three scholarships of players who may not return next year.

JUCO recruiting doesn't usually occur until later in the season. Like I have said before, we didn't find Goins until the end of March. Bobby Maze didn't commit until mid-May.

Golden has regressed his last couple of games, but we really don't have any decent guards to speak of.
6 assists and 20 turnovers tells the story on guard play tonight.
Golden was 1 and 3.
Lazy , lazy , lazy on transition defense.

exactly may not return, then again they may and so you dont have any extra scholarships. neither one of us know, imo i dont think mcrae or washpun leave, miller seems to be the trendy pick to leave so maybe he does, i know he likes it here but if he wants to play he'll leave. if he does you still are dealing with the mitchell situation, if mitchell wants to come here he gets that scholly not a juco pg.

as far as recruiting i know what you are saying that the players arent recruited, but the players are playing and being scouted. there are sights that show upcoming juco players just like there are sights that show hs players. a poster who apparently has a membership to view juco recruiting stated that there is not much as far as juco guards go out there. i dont see ccm willing to lose a scholly on an average pg who may not work and in turn you are out a scholly for the monster class of '13.

the unforced turnovers are what really kill me, and tatum being our senior makes some of the worst turnovers and then follows it up with an and one foul on defense, pathetic.

i may be in the minority here but i really honestly think that golden can be a good pg. i really feel like they can send him to a camp or something or have someone work with him, and can re tool how he plays. he plays with that score first mentality, he has good vision when he uses it he just needs his thinking tweaked to he is looking to distribute first not score. i know this sounds like it'd be very easy but for a kid that has always been a scorer that is a hard transition.

He just has a long way to go.

Ok... easy version. CCM tells them that they are not going to play next year and it would be best if they find another school. Now they don't have a choice. Hell, McRae just got beat out by a slow, white kid who can't play D, and plays subpar O.

There are always guards that can help teams. An average PG is better than no PG. I'm sure CCM will look into finding talent to replace some of the dead weight on the team.

He has a shooter's mentality. He'd be a fearless and high scoring 2, but he'll never be a top rated PG.
In the clutch a true point guard would be looking for the open man with the best percentage shot. Golden always reverts to the shooter within and thinks he has to win it himself.

which is why i say he would need to be re-tooled and work with a former pg or someone that could change the way he thinks. he has the size and build for it, the offense is a plus you keep in you back pocket, he has proven that he has great vision. i think this goes really unappreciated he leads the sec in assists, thats impressive for a guy who isnt a pg, its even more impressive for someone getting assist on our crappy team. so now you just have to vastly improve the ball handling, and the decision making. as i said he has a lot to improve on but i see the base being there to build on.

i dont see him telling mcrae this, he knows he is very thin at wing next year and he has no idea what he will get from the guys coming in. jordy loves being here and will see next year as an opportunity to step right in with tatum and woolridge both leaving. maybe im wrong i just dont see it happening. i would be fine with him telling washpun to hit the road, but the way ccm has talked about him i dont see this either. ccm really likes the kid and he is glad to have him here and recognizes it was his first class i just dont see it happening maybe im wrong on this one too. i think the most likely scenario for another scholly besides miller would be ccm contacting reese and advising him to look elsewhere. i think this is very likely but just like i said before i could be very wrong.

McRae had an opportunity THIS YEAR to step in and contribute. He was a freaking starter. What has been the result? He has been replaced by McBee, who quite frankly, isn't any good. McRae can't shoot or defend. He is dead weight that needs to be let go.

Of course CCM says he likes the players and that they will be contributors to the team. What coach comes out and says that he hopes a kid transfers? Doesn't mean that he is finding them another team behind closed doors.
