Good Ole Third and Chavis....

Also, that Bama game was called perfectly by him. When they scored, it was perfect timing to call a blitz. Bama just lucked up and called a screen

Well, did they simply luck up by getting to LSU's end of the field in about 30 seconds?

Regarding your comment about the Clemson game, LSU had pressure on the QB the entire game. Then at the end of the game, they quit applying pressure and you see what the result was. No pressure = good passing.

When it is 4th & 16 and all you have to do is stop them from making a 1st down to win the game, offense won't help you. When Bama has to go 80 yards in less than a minute to win the game and they score a touchdown virtually untouched, offense is not the problem.

The bama game was completely on Chavis.

Last night the if the offense sustains a drive then the d isn't in that spot. They were gassed from being on the field so much.

I will pound Chavis all day long for his defense but last night wasn't his fault. The offense lost that game. Anyone who says different doesn't know football.
You're exactly right.
I'm convinced we have the dumbest fans in football.

Maybe they weren't able to apply pressure at the end of the game because they had been on the field for 100 plays because their offense sucked balls. Ever thought that may be the reason?

Reminded me of the 08 game at UCLA...

LSU wouldn't have even gotten to that good of a bowl game without Chavis

Lets see, did LSU get to where they are because of outstanding players or brilliant scheming from their defensive coordinator? Sure isn't anything scholar from giving game after game after game away at the end because of playing soft. John is infamous for it. I warned an LSU friend what he would do.

How many of you guys would have liked to phone Vegas for a bet on Clemson with the ball deep in their own territory at the start of the last drive knowing how 3rd and Chavis thinks?

3rd and Chavis didn't cause that loss. If you knew anything about football, you would know that. LSU's D played 100 plays. Let me repeat that. 100. There aren't many, if any, defenses that could've held up with that many plays.

Care to check how many winning seasons LSU had in the 90's when they had the pick of the litter of any talent in that state?
