The ideal result would have been both teams mimicking a viral mma fight where both guys simultaneously knocked eachother out. However that didn’t happen. All week I’ve wondered what’s most beneficial to the Vols for next week- a Alabama win or Texas AM win? An Alabama loss or Texas AM loss?

Will Patrino and Jimbo be at each others necks and further cause an already tough road game to be tougher?

Or would it have been better for the Vols had AM won?

Will AM be deflated coming into Neyland?

From a psychological standpoint it definitely would have been better if they had won, but on the flip side aTm sure didn't show anything that would scare you other than their punt returner. Luckily we've got the ole Aussie back there that everyone complained about after the first game or two.

I am certainly less worried about them then I was coming into this game. Max Johnson holds on to the ball too long, and A&M's offensive line does not look to be a strength. Their defensive line is legit no doubt, but their secondary is also not great. A lot of Milroe's throws were just poorly thrown but the receivers were either wide open, or the DB didn't get his head around to make an easy play on the ball.

If our offensive line can perform like they did against USCe then we'll be fine I think.

Doesn't matter. Like "bulletin board material" it doesn't have any influence whatsoever when they walk on the field on Saturday. It's just soap opera fodder for fans!

Not sure but there is a chance that A&M will have self-doubt following that game. And the QB is going to be pretty sore. He took a beating.... but it should be worse from UT's pass rush.

BTW, the Mighty Canes were beaten by a pretty bad GT team today. As a reminder, GT lost to Bowling Green last week.

There is pretty strong evidence that the SEC just isn't as strong this year as its been. There is a lot more "parity".

Walter Nolen and Texas A&M will be very hungry to erase the stench of a home loss and if Tennessee can run for 275 yards in this game, I like our chances of winning,

DB didn't get his head around. Hmm their secondary made that thug burton look like an nfl receiver.

Yep, and I would tell my punt team to get down there and keep your eyes open great returner but fumbles a lot of the catches. The thing, he has turned fumbles in to dynamic returns. His first step twitch is so fast I think his mind gets ahead of his body causing him to mishandle the catch a lot. It may be even harder in a raucous Neyland. Think about it if he had lost 1 or 2 to fumbles or even just fell on them for no gain. You would probably see a new returner happens all the time, turnovers on a punt catch are devastating regarding field position. I guarantee the coach's love his return dynamics but are scared to death he coughs one up sooner or later.
