Heard the same comment but I didn’t see any reason to interject into the dumbass mask virtue signaling show we had going on here.heard commentary from Shannon Bream of Fox that her sources at SCOTUS say Roberts did not ask other justices to wear masks nor did Sotomayor communicate to Gorsuch about her concerns or a request that he wear a mask.
Sits next to Sotomayor, who is diabetic and immunocompromised, but he refuses to wear a mask. What a jerk. But I'm sure all the "loves em some Jesus" folks on here approve.
So the other 7 resumed wearing masks at the exact same time that Sotomayor went back to remote and it was all spontaneous and unprompted?heard commentary from Shannon Bream of Fox that her sources at SCOTUS say Roberts did not ask other justices to wear masks nor did Sotomayor communicate to Gorsuch about her concerns or a request that he wear a mask.
Even beyond the subject matter of the arguments themselves, the specter of COVID-19 loomed over the courtroom from the outset. When eight justices took the bench, all but one of them – Justice Neil Gorsuch – wore masks. That was a sharp departure from prior in-person arguments during the pandemic, when Justice Sonia Sotomayor has been the only justice wearing a mask. Sotomayor, who has lifelong diabetes that puts her at higher risk from COVID-19, did not take the bench at all; she instead opted to participate in Friday’s arguments remotely.
So all this crap dredged up because EL expressed an opinion on an unverified article, just another day ending in y.heard commentary from Shannon Bream of Fox that her sources at SCOTUS say Roberts did not ask other justices to wear masks nor did Sotomayor communicate to Gorsuch about her concerns or a request that he wear a mask.
Their protocols have apparently not required masking. It was just the Omnicron that made someone nervous enough for Sotomayeur to ask for everyone to wear a mask. Gorusch has just kept doing what he has been doing before with no problem.Sorry, but I still don’t feel this is worth even the minimal effort of spending 25 seconds to Google “Supreme Court Covid protocols.” The court’s official Covid protocols are online and I’m 99% confident that they would confirm that they’re acting on the CDC’s endorsement of N95 masks for best efficacy and are acting on that advice. I also don’t think there is any reason to assume that the justices would agree to wear a mask for their colleague and then intentionally or negligently wear a mask that wasn’t the most effective one they had access to.
That’s the kind of “no **** Sherlock” thing that you need to disprove or just look up for yourself. I’m not interested in the opinion of anybody who finds that persuasive.
My comment about intelligence was in response to someone saying that Sotomayor was uninformed. The others are all smart people who are in a better position to assess her credibility and probably better informed than me about the risks of Covid to people in various cohorts.
I was not saying Gorsuch is unintelligent. I think he is quick to assume bad faith from the chief and other justices when they don’t agree with him but has otherwise been a fair Justice. This is just a douche move, not an act of stupidity.
This is an attempt at a strawman. It’s such a dramatic oversimplification that I don’t believe it to have been made in good faith.
Again: link to her making a request for anything or calling anyone out.

Yup. I guarantee you that 98% of the blue checks on Twitter who piled on Gorsuch the last 36 hours have no idea that the story was false. They will spend the rest of their sad little lives blissfully unaware that they believe yet another lie; just as surely as they believe that Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house and just like they believe Kyle Rittenhouse carried a machine gun across state lines.todays left media….be first even when you’re wrong. Worry about the retraction later.

As we've established, it's not really to "protect" each other, but to respect their beliefs by hiding our faces.
