9. Not the best staff in America.

I've always said that players make the coach. If that is indeed true, we need a boat load of studs to actually turn this mess around. The good news is (if there actually is any) ...........it appears we've got the Titantic (full of recruits) ready to dock in Knoxville.

I really think Butch has some shortcomings of his own that he needs to internalize and focus on correcting (clock management, 3rd and short schemes, and hokey situational gadget plays). That being said, every coach is in that same boat. No coach is perfect. Talent is what will ultimately cover up and help hide coaching blemishes (See Les Miles at LSU the past several years). The more talent we get, the fewer "head scratching" moments we will see from Butch and Co. This recruiting class will be Butch's saving grace, imo.

Coaching is a heck of a lot more than in-game decisions. Best case scenario, if Butch can recruit, I am afraid we are in for a repeat of the last 4 years of the Fulmer era...AT BEST.

Except for number 9 on your list Dooley left Butch all this mess. Plus you can add no Playmakers on this team. They all left last year. Bray, Hunter, Patterson.

The kid needs to learn not to throw into double and triple coverage! He almost acts like he is playing scared, also his arm strength is suspect. I also think the fake field goal was a terrible mistake.

Don't get me wrong it pisses me off that we are in our third straight season with no bowl. But, I also have enough smarts to realize we are one season in with a new head coach. His second year record had always been better in every job he's had. He's got a great recruiting class going. AND... No one can name a single damn coach out there that would come here and have instant success, guaranteed.

So sorry I'm not crawling up in a little ball, sucking my thumb, and complaining about a head coach that hasn't "shocked the world" his first season in...
