Tea baggers say: Guvament bad. Deregulate everything and transform the U. S. into an oligarchy. Prime examples: Savings & Loan scandal under bush 1 sub prime loans under bush 2. The middle class picked up the tab for these fiascos. Yep ,it's always the repubs.

The savings and loan stuff I also recall McCain being in on some mess way back in the 1970's. Truth be told, repubs or demos, all politicians are liars and thieves. Out for your vote and money. Not giving a damn about the public they purport to serve. Now let's see if they get the TW-Comcast thing right so we aren't screwed yet again.

Every cable channel should have its own price per month rate so that you can customize what's on your TV, and only pay for what you want to watch. As it stands right now, we subsidize garbage TV that would never make it on its own because of these ridiculous packages. Cable TV does not work on a free market business model and I'm sick of it. Just my thoughts.

I'm cool with that. Just give me Local Channels and Sports Package and I'm good. I'll use Netflix or Hulu for the rest.

Subprime mortgage fiasco was courtesy of 2 democrats named Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank, who lobbied NOT to rein in Fannie May and Freddie Mac, etc. The idea that people should be able to buy a home with no money down and zero credit was started under Jimmy Carter and that is what eventually caused the collapse.

Maybe you should do your homework and not get your internet talking points from Rachel Maddow.

OK, Rush Limbaugh :)
Fact is both political parties have been selling this country to foreign interests and flushing the rest of us down the toilet. So let's try to stay focused on the merger of Warner-Com or Com-Warner and no snide comments about what that sounds like. :)

I think Netflix should try and get the SEC Network.:)

-- Or the the SEC Network could just be available online and available through your XBox, Playstation, ROKU, or Network enabled TV.

The S&L crisis was under Reagan. The sub-prime crap started under Clinton, but blew up during Bush 2.0.

That's it, try to defend the indefensible . bush2 cut the SEC so drastically there were not enough regulators to enforce the rules and regs. Clinton did what Dems always do, clean up after conservative (repubs), Clinton leaves a surplus bush and his henchmen foment a market crash and a recession. Own it Repubs! :loco: :homy: :)

I've got DirecTV & am pleased with them but they BETTER offer the SEC network when it comes out. I've called & emailed several times. The people who answer the phone are beyond clueless as far as knowing what they offer or will offer. They told me we wouldn't get FoxSports1 when it came out. Went home & had it. Maybe if enough of us make it known we want it, they'll realize they better offer it!

I just signed up with DirectTV couple weeks ago and was assured before I signed the contract that Direct would carry SEC Network....you know a salesman would never lie!

It will all work out before football season. Because there is way to much money to lose for the networks who don't add it

Fox News viewing demographics are evenly split in thirds between repubs, democrats, and independents. Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about.

All 12 of MSNBC viewers are hardcore leftists

I have DirecTV with the Sport Pack and love the channels I get but hate the price I have to pay. My freaking cable bill is 150.00 per month due to DVR charges, insane fees and taxes, and lack of real competition in the Market Place.

Figured signing up with Direct is going to save me almost $600 in year one over local cable company. First year 1/2 price on 2 year contract, 3 DVR/Hi-Def boxes when only had 1, and $150 Best Buy Gift Card.....Win, Win.

Only loss so far is that they do not carry CSS so miss a few of the Lady Vols games. (and I do not have the Sport Pack so regular price per month will be less than $100).

I had Direct TV in Detroit and was pretty happy with it. Now I live in FL and dish cable providers are not the way to go unless you want your cable to go out every time it storms. PLUS, the neighborhood I live in signed a deal where Verizon Fios and Bright House are the only two providers you can get. Really rustles my jimmies. Would love to get Uverse, but I can't.

FiOS is the mack daddy. Faster internet you can get where I live. Not to mention Uverse is terrible if you have multiple TV's and wifi devices going at the same time. Be thankful.

That's about as good of a deal you can get. The sports pack may help with some of the Lady VOLS games but there were a couple that I could not get. I was able to view them on my XBox with ESPN3.

Wish FIOS was offered in my area but Comcast has them locked out.
