Wow! What a first episode! Some of the stuff the kid said in interviews were true. That he will become the Batman this season if only in persona! The way he talked Gordon into doing what the Penguin wanted it was almost Spock-esq "The needs of the many (Gotham) out way the needs of the One (Gordon).
Cameron Monaghan might end up being the best on-screen Joker we have seen by the end of the series. I wonder if his relationship with Barbra impresses a type of female companion on him that eventually leads to his twisted relationship with Harley in the future?

COURT OF OWLS Coming To GOTHAM
The second season of Fox's Gotham began Monday evening, delving deeper into the past of Batman's signature city. And according to showrunner Bruno Heller, one new addition to DC lore will be coming to roost in the show: the Court of Owls.
"Yeah, absolutely," Heller told ComicBook when asked. "I won't say that it's part of-- I don't even want to say that, because I don't want to spoil part of the story. The Court of Owls is deep, deep, deep Gotham mythology."
"We are absolutely going to explore that world down the line," the showrunner added. "Looking at the longevity of the show, we have to hold some cards back, we cant just throw all of the elements, all of the story at once.

I also think he has brought a little of the quirky mannerisms that the Joker had in Batman The Animated Series as well as some of the voice inflection that Mark Hamill did so well.Holy crap indeed. Such a great episode. The Penguin stole the show last year, and this is definitely shaping up to be Jerome/Jokers season this year. The roulette scene was great. The scene with the commish was awesome. His last scene, holding the camera, was intense. So many great lines and great timing in delivering them. He is what the Joker should be too me, over the top silliness wrapped in complete madness. Jack was one and Heath was the other, Cameron is pulling off both brilliantly so far.
Did Gotham jump the shark last night? Twitter #Gotham was brutal last night. Today Gotham writers @GothamTVWriters are trolling angry fans. It will be interesting to see how the ratings shakeout after next weeks episode.
