No. You can have 5 SEC in the playoffs teams and not have 2 SEC teams play each other in the first round is all I said. Which is true.OK, Sparky. I was responding to the poster who said there shouldn’t be matchups of teams from the same conference in the first two rounds by saying in such a scenario there couldn’t be more than 4 teams from any conference. Then you interjected yourself to say there could be 5, which was wrong. But thanks for weighing in.
I didn’t say any of this. Learn to read. The other guy did.You said no conference matchups in the first two rounds. The SEC Champion will get a bye and be waiting for the winner of one of the first round games. Therefore, another SEC team couldn’t be in that particular game because if they won, it would be SEC at-large vs SEC champion in round 2x. So, four SEC teams max using that rule.
