Gotta win the SEC tourney now

I think it is as simple as this. Beat auburn and Mizzou. Win Thursday and Friday in the tourney. That alone leaves a chance to sneak in but A LOT needs to fall our way. If we win Saturday and get to the championship, I'm confident we get in. The original prevailing thought around here was win out, win Friday and we are in. I personally thought that winning only one in the tourney was leaving a lot to chance. I figured we needed two to be sure. Now I think two leaves a lot to chance and three gets us in.

If you don't think we have to win the tourney then you're on crack and don't watch basketball much...omg..get a clue....please please get a clue for real....its just sad when people aren't logical....

I just can't trust us away from Knoxville. I don't know if I ever will. That includes the SEC tourney.

I was thinking they could afford a loss to Missouri.. Georgia and Auburn were must wins.. The Vols likely have to make the finals of the SEC tournament now.. 21 wins may not be enough.. This was a bad loss today.. One they really couldn't have at this point in the season..

Why is that the people we know who are experienced with ins and outs of NCAA basketball are all saying the same thing, then random posters like yourself say stuff like this?

Villinova would get an at large bid over us...they beat ul, syracuse, and @uconn...so would boise st. And several other teams....be logical....we have to win the tourney....if we don't fix some issues against the zone then auburn will give us problems...

I've to been to every sec tourney except for the one where we went to the finals since Pearl got here. I COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from. I'm certainly not predicting any of that will happen. But I'm predicting IF that does happen, that is where we will end up. But, if we win take care of business on the road against a bad auburn team, hold serve against Mizzou at home which struggles on the road, and play as well as we are capable of in the SEC tourney, we will be fine. It was said best that our margin for error just went from thin to razor thin. If we lose to Mizzou or, God help us, Auburn, it goes to "must win the SEC tourney".

okay...you're right...i respectfully disagree....i will submit the following

we beat auburn and mizzou...then win 2 tourney games against whomever we draw....

If we get in as an at large bid i will resign from this site and never post again...ever..ever

watch when nardi's matrix comes out and we are way down and out...i wish it was different but this was a must win game...now its on to the tourney

Right, I'm definitely not saying that the odds favor us, but there's enough of a chance to give it some attention.
