Grab 'em by the ... property

If $454 million was the right number a couple of weeks ago, why did he reduce it to $175 million? Maybe he realizes AG James convinced him to grab a tiger by the tail.

I think it was the appeals court that had to correct Engoron and his political antics.

175 million is still ridiculous when Trump did nothing wrong.

Someone should conduct a wellness check on EL. They're probably at home self harming.

He just barely got the Carroll bond together. I don't think he'll be able to get $175 million bond.

Wasn't Trumps case a civil case? If so he wasn't convicted. Yes, small detail I know.

You are correct. He was found civilly liable and had to pay a bond to appeal that ruling.

That is still completely different than a bond for being indicted/charged with a crime...

"As they say I have a lot of cash. You know I do because you looked at my statements," Trump said during a news conference in New York on Monday.

He went on to say how he would also like to use his cash funds for his reelection bid and claimed, but "they don't want me to use my cash to get reelected."

This part I do not understand. I am under the distinct impression that Trump is not funding his campaign with any of his own money.

This statement by him implies that he is going to use campaign funds to pay the bond. I am sure it will be clarified as time goes on, but how do Trump supporters feel about that? Or, if the fine or some part is sustained on appeal, how do Trump supporters feel about their campaign contributions being used to pay his personal debts at this level?

he said it's his cash, not the campaign cash

Drop all news about the Trump properties that get seized here.

Looks like the Westchester properties may be first.

Seize-apalooza starts Monday! Don't miss it.

I know you are loving this and jumping for joy. Beware though.

If Trump gets elected it will be due to, in large part, the rulings against him. JMO

I guess it depends on why you donated money to him in the first place. I don't understand why anyone would give their hard earned money to any of these idiots.

Well, I imagine that the media will find out, I would think even Fox wants to know whether Trump is funding this bond or any liability with campaign money.

That wasn't what you asked. You wanted to know if Trumpers would be okay with it. I think it would depend on why they gave him the money. Some people are going to support him no matter what he does and surely some would say that they didn't give to support his legal woes.

I've read the statement you posted several times and cannot see how you interpret that to say he's using money from campaign donations - he says it's his money and the message appears to be that if he had to put up about 1/2 a billion that would be less of his own money he could spend on the campaign. nowhere does it say he's using campaign donations
