Agree with all above. The game itself ...... C- . Real yawner. not an instant classic. But a win, nonetheless.

Defense: A as usual, way to go Chief
Offense: C average, good running game, passing game OK at times, just kind of an uninspired effort but adequate since we were playing Ole Miss
Special teams: B- What's up with Wilhoit this year? Lucas Taylor is promising, finally have a return game with a little energy

There's just not much to get excited about except a play here and there. Some loud people better show up for the UGA game. The Vols are going to need all the help they can get.

And I'm loud.

Care to elaborate 67?

I thought DL was at least a B+. I thought they did a good job getting pressure for the most part and I think they played quite a few poeple.

What about RB's a B? I really think Riggs ran hard and Foster had some good carries.

RB's - want an A break some runs and get 200 yards.
DL - 50 yard run, let Spurlock escape outside way too many times, did not tackle well. Effort A, results B
LB- Did not get their Drops correct. Swing pass ate UT alive and that is the backers responsibility.
DB's-got beat often enough to have gotten UT into trouble if Ole Miss's WRs could catch the ball

OL-Not physical in short yardage, not one OL took it upon themselves to block OM's LBers. Allowed to much pressure.
WR's - were average
QB - Played with GUTS, not well but UT did win and he kept the defense out of trouble. Clausen, 2 dislocated fingers on non-throwing hand, Strained achilles, Deep thigh bruise, strained shoulder.

Coaching B+
Playcalling was horrible. Team did play decent and was prepared. They let the team get lazy when they jumped up 14-0. Got players needed next week some rest and got some younger players some experience.

What he said! Especially the F for the fans. What has happened? Everything just seems dead.

These 12:30 games are horrible. Everyone is burning up, half asleep and just plain boring.

I'm just glad we got out with a win today. We should have scored more and taken advantage of the field position that we had all day.

Overall, I'm giving the team and E for effort considering they have played 2 games in 1 week.

I hate 12:30 games too.

All games should be on Monday night or Saturday night!

Probably not, but I'm sure we have a 6 a.m kickoff at some point.

67, I agree with most of your assessment. However, I think the line had a lot to do with the backs not having 200 yards. They earned the yards they got. Several times Riggs turned nothing into something when guys were in the backfield.

Yes they did, but for a long time the standard for rushing at UT was 200 yards. Everyone has continually lowered the standard but I won't. They want an A from me then get 200 yards and break a couple.

I agree. I'm probably in the minority, but I thought we ran a little too much of the spread today.

That was the standard. I was just talking about that 200 yard average with someone today. We just don't seem as physical on the o-line anymore. We honestly seem to pass block better than we run block under JRS. I know that "finesse" is a word that has been used to describe his lines.

Really, Ga? I thought we didn't run enough of it. I just don't think we have much luck running the ball with our "beef" formations. Even against teams like Ole Miss.

I think that a HB direct would work some. I know it does on NCAA...
