Grammys '14

My step dad used to be an engineer for CBS records, then Sony. Johnny would call him out to the House of Cash to do his sessions.

I was fortunate to see some amazing musicians growing up. Backstage at the Volunteer Jam was always a surprise. I saw Ronnie Milsap get up and dance on the piano one night. An interesting feat for a blind man.

Yeah. I mostly listen to '60s rock & folk.

Gotcha. I don't watch a whole lot of TV and couldn't tell her age. But your statement makes perfect sense.

She's 17. I can't imagine the awe of being in front of all those stars and legends at that age.

I don't think it's the awe of being in front of them. I'd pee my pants if I won a Grammy today, I'd faint en route to the stage at 17.

I know its frowned upon to not care for the beatles, and I try to respect what they did, but I can't stand all but maybe 3-4 songs from them, PM, and Ringo combined.

And some of these big name stars have never won a grammy and they've been singing for years.

performances of the night so far:

1. Robin Thicke with Chicago
2. Ringo
3. Lorde

And all three of them just got up and sang. How odd.

to say I don't like Imagine Dragons is an understatement. Not looking forward to this upcoming performance.

But I don't want to change it and screw up and miss Kacey Musgraves.
