Haha you don't know marijuana well if you think it's non addictive. Everyone I know who smokes and believe me I know a TON of people that do, if they don't stay high all the time they get moody and aggressive and are absolutely miserable.

So you think the problem is the plant and not the DAs who stay high all the time?

People that smoke are losers. I know literally 100s of people and they are all the same. Most now also do other drugs. They spend ridiculous amounts of money on weed. It's disturbing walking around Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and smelling weed. It makes me angry and sad the direction this country is heading.

Can't believe the path this country is heading down. Unbelievable.

I can't picture a scenario where God would want people smoking weed and for it to be legalized. It makes me sad, angry and confused.

Which is sad. Life is way too short and this country/world has way too many problems to care if people smoke a little weed.

It's a way of life out west. It literally takes over people's lives. I don't see how this is a good thing and it isn't a few people "smoking a little weed"

Who cares? Are they happy? Are they harming you?

If someone is happy and not harming me, kudos to them. I'm happy for them.

Maybe I shouldn't worry as much about it. It just doesn't feel right. Maybe I shouldn't care as much and I'm worrying about something that doesn't really effect me.

Did these people you know drink caffeine or alcohol or smoke cigarettes? If so how do you correctly identify the real gateway drug?

I chew tobacco, drink coffee and drink occasionally and I have no desire to smoke weed.

And I've smoked pot but had no desire to do heroin. You simply ignore all the other drugs in your effort to demonize pot. It's a bit dishonest

It's just a massive propaganda movement that worked and it worked really well. If people were raised right and had a basic level of self respect and maturity nothing negative would come from using MJ. When idiots that weren't raised to respect others and themselves use substances then yes you can always find ways to blame that substance. Don't blame the gun, blame the idiot who believes it is okay to kill someone with that gun.

I think it's our responsibility to care about our fellow citizens. I definitely have reservations about anyone using any substance but I would never choose to lock a human in a metal box for doing so.

Every single crack head I've ever meet started out as a breather.

Breathing is a gateway drug. And anyone who believes in gateway drugs needs to stop breathing imediately, before they accidentally become addicts.

I smoke pot daily and hate tobacco.

Btw, its a gateway drug only because its illegal and you have to go through drug dealers to get it. Said drug dealers are always trying to sell you something else, something more expensive and more addictive.

And how do these people act that startle you? Marijuana does have more tar than tobacco, but not 20 cigarettes worth. Not even 10. Plus there are other ways of using marijuana to eliminate the tar such as a vaporizer.

You know marijuana has been around since before this country was even founded, right? People thought marijuana was bad for you before the studies - now that they are actually studying it, people are finding out the government has been lying this entire time. Its actually the opposite of what happebed with cigarettes.

Even filtering it through a bong gets like 80% of the crap out of it.

God made you and me and the seed that grows weed!

Why did I just have a random Peter, Paul, and Mary thought when I read this post? :)

Weed is not addictive and the remainder of your statement applies more to cigarette smokers than it does to weed smokers.

It's also a gateway drug.

:eek:lol:

Those who smoke weed are more likely to do other illegal drugs. That's why it gets called a gateway drug

Yes, but as I pointed out earlier, the reason they are more likely to do other illegal drugs is because of access. You have to go through sketchy drug dealers to buy marijuana and a lot of times they want to sell you harder stuff because thats where they make the real money. If it was legal not only would it put these small time thugs out of business if would allow for a safe place to purchase it where harder drugs aren't being pushed on you.

For the record, I've been smoking marijuana for about 6-7 years now and have no desire to try anything harder and never will.

You could say that people that drink alcohol are more likely to try prescription narcotics too.
