That's why I haven't done it lately, because I would get paranoid sometimes (that and random drug testing at work). However, in a recent Rolling Stone interview, Neil Young says that black pepper balls are the remedy for the paranoia:

2. He's smoking weed again, occasionally. "I do it every once in a while," he said. "Just a little tiny bit." Stern gave it up years ago because it makes him paranoid, but Young had the solution. "Try black pepper balls if you get paranoid," he said. "Just chew two or three pieces. I just found this out myself. Try it."

Alcohol vs Weed:

Dude drinks 3 or 4 beers watching the game with friends...I'll call him Gufus...Having fun, he drinks a couple of more... Then intoxicated and having even more fun, he proceeds to finish off the twelve pack (maybe throw in a couple of shots for good measure)... Finally, games are over and it's time to go home... Dude's now totally hammered and won't listen to his friends who don't want him to drive... He gets in car and heads home - maybe he makes it, maybe he gets a DUI or maybe he kills someone or himself. Point is, the more one drinks, the more judgement is impaired...a potentially deadly spiral.

Now, another dude (Gallant) goes to the same buddy's house to watch the game and takes 2 or 3 hits of decent weed...ten minutes later, he's got a pretty decent buzz and enjoys watching the game with his friends...At halftime, he has the munchies and either cleans out his buddy's nachos or gets pizza delivered for the whole gang... The game ends, dude's got a full belly and is a bit sleepy...and he is no longer high...so he goes home.

Not only did Gallant not drive while impaired and endanger anyone, he also broke up the fight Gufus started when he thought his fat girlfriend was insulted by the host's 20 year old neighbor, he dealt with the cops that came to the house because Gufus insisted on playing Smoke on the Water over and over on their host's electric guitar at max volume, and he picked up milk and bread on the way home as his wife had requested.

Yes, some DA's will get high and proceed to drink way too much...but those same DA's are the ones that get hammered and drive.

Some will say I have over simplified the story, but I am pretty certain that others will say they've seen it happen just as I said.

Anyway, all things in moderation...even words in a VN post...sorry.
