depends who you are. I'm sure people who support this cause want it to be as graphic as possible to get the awareness out there.

I think there is a time and a place and events like the Super Bowl shouldn't be used to push political or social causes. I equate this to the Westboro protests at military funerals.

Super Bowl is way more sacred.

I'll leave it up to NBC to choose their sponsors and bear the burden if there is blowback.

Anybody that doesn't want to watch the commercials can change the channel for a few minutes.

It is a no win situation, running the ad coonfirms whatever prejudice people have.

Like the guy on the street corner telling every one they will burn in hell, vastly more harmful than good.

Regardless, NBC has the right to sell airtime to whomever they choose. And, like I said, anybody offended by these commercials can change the channel when they come on.

Who in the world said anything about nbc not being able to sell air time......bizarre

The issue is advancing a cause and this is a poor way to do it. Tim Tebow speaking out......home run!

I witnessed more than my fair share of fellows with the posters of graphic images who would set up camp on our college campus. He clearly had nothing better to do...like say work.

As with anything you pick and choose battles wisely. Prosecuting this battle in this manner is a no win scenario.

Is there really an issue?

Seems like just another case of people worrying over nothing to me.

Absolutely there is, whatever shred of changing someones mind on abortion will be shattered because the commercials will portray pro lifers as fanatics and comfirm prejudices already in place.

Pro lifers need credibility, this is not it.

True, but I would venture about half of the audience is watching the game simply to see the funny commercials and will probably see at least one.

Who is the most noticable christian in the us?

but whatever

I know he's the flavor of the month, but how does having a popular person add credibility to a topic?

Although, I can see how his charitable acts add to it, even if he weren't famous.

unfortunately, in most cases much of the general public oftentimes is willing to run without credibility as long as it's someone they know or someone they like telling it to them
