Great day, but this guy nails how I feel heading into next week…

Seems like this topic was created to tee up the next thing to piss and moan about for the usual suspects in case we don't at least make the E8; though let's be honest they'll probably complain even if we lost in the championship game.

Noticed the OP made this thread and hasn't been back to defend it. Showing us his obvious agenda

67 teams will lose in this tournament. To win 4 games and get to the final 4 is a monumental accomplishment but takes a series of lucky breaks to do it. Encountering hot teams, hot players, injuries, and every team faced is giving it their best shot. Takes a lot of luck. Better to be rolling the dice than sitting at home.

I think we are almost a lock to make the Sweet 16 as long as we don't play bad or have a letdown. After that, who knows? Even if we made a Sweet 16 and were done, I would be happy.

Sunday was historic.

I prefer to think the folks at BLEACHER REPORT who RANK THE HOTTEST TEAMS HEADED INTO THE TOURNAMENT have a better handle on what this team is all about. Barnes put this team together and even with Oliver out gave us AN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP with a team that seems more together and more dedicated to the belief they can prevail. It takes players with conviction to win in the NCAAT

This may sound awful, but I think losing Olivier forced Barnes to out of his comfort zone a bit. We started going real heavy with the 4 guard rotation and focusing on the matchups with our bigs. Seeing BHH, Aidoo and Uros on a heavy rotation has made us really solid in our post matchups.

Not saying that we don’t need Olivier, we do. It’s just one of those factors that forced this team to adapt and overcome.

I mean I'll be disappointed if we don't make the E8 and yes we need to cut out the scoring droughts, sloppy turnovers, and missed FTs but posting this thread immediately after our first SECT win in 43 years screams agenda.

As Tennessee sizzles into NCAA Tournament, can you trust Rick Barnes?

I won’t trust Barnes in the NCAA tourney until he proves me wrong—which I’d love to be this year.

yeah you can trust him. he just ran roughshod through one of toughest conference tourneys and it really wasn't that close. something jerry green, bruce pearl, etc. could never do. hell, we haven't done it since '79.

this is a special, cohesive team that is very confident and believes in each other. and they believe in their coach. arizona is in big trouble. ;)

I agree...Rick has managed this team about as well as anyone could have...And this I know...Rick has enjoyed this team as much as any team he's ever coached. It's a joy to watch him interact with them and see the love and respect they have for each other. What true Vol fan that's endured the past 40 years of ups and downs with Vol basketball could not be happy with Rick coaching our team?

This is the kind of article you write if the Vols fizzle out to a lowly team in the tourney. You can then bring out all your stats, numbers past history. For now enjoy this ride and cheer on this team and staff. Something magical is happening here, we all feel it and see it.
