I agree...Rick has managed this team about as well as anyone could have...And this I know...Rick has enjoyed this team as much as any team he's ever coached. It's a joy to watch him interact with them and see the love and respect they have for each other. What true Vol fan that's endured the past 40 years of ups and downs with Vol basketball could not be happy with Rick coaching our team?

Agreed! I do t know about you and I can’t speak for others, but when it became apparent that we had a real shot at landing Rick Barnes, I was extremely excited. I thought he was exactly what this program needed to lay a solid foundation and prove that Tennessee basketball could compete in the SEC, Nevermind going toe to toe with Kentucky! The man has far exceeded my expectations and I’m not sure we could ask for a better ambassador for this program.

Being a man of honesty ....I must admit I didn't have a great feeling about it mainly because I didn't know of the man's character and background. Looking back I WAS TOTALLLY WRONG!. To say it's worked out well for the Vols would be the largest understatement of the day. He absolutely is a superior ambassador for the Vols and keeps "the main thing...the main thing".

I won’t trust Barnes in the NCAA tourney until he proves me wrong—which I’d love to be this year.

This year is different; we are on an upward trajectory, whereas in yrs. past we were not. The emergence of James is huge; KC has vastly improved, as well as BHH. We now have more size inside since the ORN injury. This has hurt our outside shooting some since ORN was very good, but it has helped our rebounding and rim protection.
