greatest rock voice of all time

the answer is obviously chris cornell. saw him at the orange peel last week and he sounded as good as he did back in 93. don't let this setlist hurt ya.

Dark Globe
(Syd Barrett)

Cornell is still trying to do this song live, hope it's better than when I saw him try it with SG. Gilmour does the only acceptable cover.

was Timbaland at the show?
I miss Soundgarden.

I'm telling you people it's Robin Zander. Amazing range from pitch perfect to violent screaming and everything in between.

it was decent...

no timbaland thank the heavens. scream acoustic was surprisingly good. very good show overall. he did say soundgarden was writing new material and would be touring soon. not real sure what his definition of soon is though...

Bob Seger never takes a breath when he does get out of Denver. Best, no. Impressive, yes!

Personal favorites:

Chuck Berry
Little Richard
John Fogerty
John Lennon
Paul McCartney

Geoff Tate from Queensryche takes a back seat to nobody. Ronnie James Dio has also got to be in the mix.

love that album.

good call.

Bump to say IMO Freddie Mercury. I was messing around on Youtube the other night and somehow came across a video talking about Mercury's performance at Live Aid 85. Then I watched the performance, all 24 glorious minutes of it, and I was completely floored. Watching him put the entire crowd in the palm of his hands was pretty amazing. There's an iconic moment during his playing of Radio Gaga where he has the crowd clapping and you can see the entire crowd in Wembley Stadium clapping in unison.

Not taking anything away from alot of the other amazing singers mentioned here but that dude was something special.
