Greenberg picked Alabama

This game, as opposed to the Miss State game, just shows you, playing at home is a whole nother thing. It would have been different in Tuscaloosa. That's just the way it is--gotta win your home games and steal one or two on the road. The SEC is a bear trap.
So either you don’t think our defense travels or you think we can’t shoot well on the road? Conference road games are tough, but I don’t think it would have changed yesterday’s results enough for a bama win IMO.

Passing on Steph was just one example of a very mediocre tenure at VT. Other than being loud, I really don’t understand his qualifications to be a featured basketball expert.
He’s a former power 5 basketball coach. That makes him more qualified than just about every other analyst on TV. You think Bill Rafferty or someone like that knows more than a former ACC basketball coach?

He lost more than he won in the ACC and has one win in an NCAA tournament game. Even by ex-coach standards he has a pretty mundane resume. Knowing more than the average fan is a pretty low bar.

Yep. A s I have stated numerous times, Home Court in CBB is worth 10 Points. I've tracked teams home & away and it holds up most every time.

So is knowing more than the average media analyst. Even coaches with losing records still had to know enough to become power 5 coaches in the first place. Hell, James Naismith had a losing record at Kansas.

Sweet. So we’re going to beat Bama by 10 in Tuscaloosa? Or it’s going to OT because our 10 point advantage becomes their 10 point advantage, making it a 20 point swing?

It will be very close in tusca, UT won by 20 at home, and may lose at bama. 20 point swing is about right. Bama will be favored by ??? (6) depending on how each teams game have gone up to that matchup.

Rece Davis drop the Vols out of top 25 win they just won by 20. Asked why? He said the Vol Football team won by 35 over Iowa & I took them out of Top 25 so bottom-line Rece is consistently dumb. 🤣

Rece (hate those cutsy derivations , Jon, Jeri ect) I digress; Rece needs something He never got at home or otherwise, a good azz whipping. Attitude adjustment.

Bama will be very focused when Vols come to town.

Why get so butt hurt over predictions lol?
Who is butthurt? We’re the opposite of butthurt, laughing at him for a reeeeeally stupid pick. We’re #6, Bama was unranked, and we’re 40-2 in our last 3 seasons at home. It’d be like picking Mississippi State to win at Bryant Denny Stadium.

At least for this game, it seems that the bast majority of VolNation is more qualified than Seth Greenberg. Anyone that thought Bama would win is not able to be objective.

Tennessee was favored by 4.5 at home. Tennessee is better than Alabama and TBA is a better home court. So I can’t see Alabama being favored by more.

If the VOLS protect home court and win the expected ones on the road, then they will be favored at bama by 1.5 to 4.5 IMO
