So McElroy has never said something in the heat of the moment that was maybe a little off color? Very few of us can say truthfully that we haven't made that boo boo.

Yes I have said stuff that I should not have said and got my clocked clean on a few occasions. So he needs to be held accountable for his words. He said what was on his mind and how he felt, not thinking. He put a bad light on a program that did not deserve his comments, he lost creditability in the sports world to a degree and really kind of shunned darkness on all SEC programs.
Done because the idiot did not engage his brain before he engaged his Mouth.

IMO folks like him that do work for SECN are really playing a dangerous game doing podcasts, freelance commentary, etc on the side. Success as a podcaster really requires a different skill set than what it takes to be a successful and neutral network host or analyst. Its the same reason Matt Jones doesn't appear as a host for Finebaum anymore....too many inflammatory remarks about other schools on KSR. The schools own the network. You can't have people doing what Jones, McElroy did and keep your job.

My guess is that was sincere because he legitimately probably did get a write up in the old HR file.
