Gruden's agent, Bob LaMonte, told The Knoxville News-Sentinel on Friday that reports Gruden was mulling over a contract offer from Tennessee were from a "fantasy world."

the agent also claimed to have never met hart, but do they really actually have to talk to an athletic director for contractual discussions or negotiations? all I saw in those articles were claims made by theagent and no quotes from gruden himself. seems kind of odd after all of the claims for group setting up a staff and being near the actual dollar amount but it would take to achieve an agreement. of course that's based on all of the discussion boards quotes not gruden himself

Who cares about gruden omg. The guy was an average coach that got booted out by his last team. I say we go get Chavis and restore this Tennessee defense and hire trooper Taylor for o coordinator. I'm tired of them going out of the house for people who don't wanna be here or people who don't deserve to be here. I say give Chavis a shot and we won't be disappointed

No! I'm not sure you know much about Trooper's tatics. He is as dirty as they come. He was taken off the recruiting trail almost two months ago due to NCAA investigations into Auburn, specifically Trooper. If he was on our staff with the probation we are under we would be in a shallow NCAA grave.

As to the agents comments; he is an egomaniac with his head so far up his own @$$ he wipes his mouth when he takes a dump. I would not believe anything that he says.

Who would you trust more a sleazy agent, a sleazy attorney or the media? Tough question, I know.

Really???

Why not.. Honestly gruden had all his pieces in play before he won a sb with Tampa. Chavis has a great defensive mind and consistently has great defenses. Plus he is a vol graduate and 20 years of coaching experience there so do I think he needs to be considered yes. At any other university in America being that successful and an alum he would be on the short list.

I think the REALLY??? comes more from the Trooper comment. He really is a scumbag.
As for Chavis, I respect him and I am thankful for all he did for UT and I would love to see him as our DC. However it is well known that he has always been lazy on recruiting. As a head coach that would not work. He is an excellent DC but that does not always translate to a good HC. I just think is lacking ability on the recruiting trail would hinder him to greatly. JMO

So we should fill the head coach and offensive coordinator jobs with people who have no experience at those positions??? Yes, I know that TT was a co-OC at OK St in 2008, but he did not have overall responsibility. Trooper is also still at the center of the current NCAA investigation at AU.
