Look I might of said that I want Chavis as hc but trooper was a probably a reach. But I think Chavis Is an excellent players coach and his kids play for him.. Honestly keeping are same offensive staff would be great but hinshaw is gonna get some good offers so that leaves mr. Tee Martin the job if he wants a possibility. I'm hoping mr hart is thinking all the options through which I'm sure he is buti wish we could stop goin after all these other guys that are established at other schools. It just seems like a setup up for failure but whatever. To another day of checking vn for a great hire for ut..

Translation: My client is not a douche who strung UT along and then decided not to come even though they gave him everything he wanted. Haslam, please don't blackball him from NFL jobs.

gruden's agent's comments were brutal. they wouldn't hurt nearly as much if they weren't so close to the truth.

I felt the same way, it's one thing to deny interest, but, why the need to take a shot like that?

Kinda makes me not like Gruden now...

Many on these boards begged for such an insult with all of the "insider" comments that Gruden was a lock. As it turns out all of this was just so much BS and many have been exposed for helping spread it. How 'bout just letting Hart do his job and trusting in the process?

It is a good thing that we did not get Gruden as a coach. If we did, there would be too much positive energy on Volnation and in the stadium. The unfortunate consequence of said energy is that the first time Gruden led the team out through the "T" the stadium would be electric. Unfortunately, the mood would drastically change when Gruden exploded into a rainbow and disappeared.

Back to the coaching search. I hear that New Mexico Tech Diesel College has a good Special Teams coach. Let's offer him everything. They won 6 games last year!

Maybe Gruden will come so when he falls flat on his face the grudenites will finally stop making 2000 different threads about him.

I can't ever describe how much this whole thing pisses me off. Obviously there was some interest from gruden or he would have immediately shot these rumors down in a classy manner. Instead he allows us to court him. Then after deciding against the job allows his agent to totally diss us? I just don't get it. Only thing I can see...maybe it was grudens way of taking a shot at hart. Saying he didn't ever even really reach out to them. Oh well. We'll never know what Really went on

Trooper was back on the recruiting trail as of last night. He was at the Muscle Shoals game watching Dee Liner. I believe at one point I saw him go to the concession stand and buy Dee a supersize bag of chips and cash.

Like Cyclops said, it's one thing to deny it or say your aren't interested. It's another to take a low blow at our fans and basically the job in general.
