What's the one tip you'd give a total novice for playing?

It's best to learn on crap and graduate to a good guitar. You will have a fast take off on learning with it.

The best thing to do is play before you buy. I found a cheap electric that sounded and played good.

Picked this up last week. If you're not into fingerstyle acoustic guitar, then you've probably never heard of Martin Simpson...but this guitar was built for and owned by Martin Simpson. He used it on part of his Rooted album. It's a Taran Tirga Mhor built by luthier Rory Dowling in Scotland.

Make it unique and different...Just draw some designs and find one you think is cool...I wish I had skills for making my own instruments.

I built a SG . Just bought parts and put it together. It plays good.

I wish I had people to play music with. That was how I learned. But you have to our I have to keep playing with people to learn that would be best anyway. But I have been playing 20 years also. I just did the math. But I play along to bands through my amp with headphones. Sounds good to me.

It says custom at the top and it's mahogany body cherry paint black speed caps that split coil and I reversed the tones and volumes for what worked better for me it is gold foiled and grounded and has grover tuners bone nut brass rings to keep the bigsby from binding with the strings. Alnico 5 humbuker paf's Anyway I love it.

No. I wish. It's Rosewood. I like Rosewood but would love to have ebony on my SG I may switch it out one day. I also have customized 3 strats and have a GFS tele that plays great. For the price you can't beat it and it's a gig worthy guitar stock..for 210

I recently bought a Gibson vustom Zakk Wyld Bullseye Les Paul. Man those EMG pickups are mean. The thing plays like a dream. The fretboard is ultra fast feeling. It plays just as good as my 1968 Fender Strat.

I wanna see the 68 strat. Can you post a pic?

#64. That is the ae I still have. J30 Gibson. I bought a 1992 LP Studio not too long ago but I haven’t done anything with it yet but look at it.

Too bad your not in florida..Me and a couple of friends get together now and then and just play whatever is on whomevers mind! lol....Anything from metal to the Beatles.
