Imagine if he did this before NSD......we would of looked 10x worse and we prob wouldn't of got half the recruits we have now.

Atleast he left after NSD

He had it in his hands to sink the whole ship if he wanted....

if he didnt want to be here he should not have accepted the position

Maybe he wanted to be here initially, then realized he couldn't hack it under a task master like Butch. If he didn't want to work for the new regime, or couldn't hack the new routine, then it's best for him to go where he'll be more comfortable.

I agree with OP. Heard Wes Rucker on the Zone this afternoon. He said, if this was going to happen, it is absolutely the best time of year it could have possibly happened.

We will probably never know the real reason he left. I'm assuming it is for a lot more money or a better position. He was going to make $260,000 this year.

Personally, I don't hold it against him. If he can further his career and make more money somewhere else, more power to him.

I don't understand why posters think he should never try to improve his career and stay at UT be damned. Also don't understand why the hate against Tee Martin for turning us down.

I'm sure the vast majority of us would leave our current employment for a better opportunity.

Because people are idiots and put way too much into this "VFL" stuff.

Coach Jones offered him 300k which is within the assistant salary cap.
Didn't work, so I would assume he got a lot more.

I like Jay, but he isin't a Coach Azz who has been offered 3 SEC jobs since arrival at UT.

Go Big Orange!!!
