In the pregame roster announcements there was a low rumble of Boos when they announced Hadden. I get that the guy has had some busts that have hurt us but that’s just uncalled for for our home crowd to boo any of our players. Really irritated me.

I doubt he heard it because the team was in the locker room at that point. But the recruits may have heard it and thats a bad look.

I was happy for him getting that pick 6 after that.

Yeah I can’t stand the boo birds. Hadden, seems like he’s slowly settling in. He’s got ridiculous potential

He was out of position on the interception, Rattler completely overthrew his receiver and Hadden was 8 yards behind the receiver and the ball was thrown right to him.

Hadden talks a lot of trash, collects the unsportsmanlike penalties and regularly demonstrates piss poor play at the corner, he doesn't need to be booed, he just doesn't need to be on the field and if we had more talent and better instruction in the secondary, he wouldn't need to be on the team.

I don’t like the boos but understand.

1. He ran his mouth Vs USCjr last yr after getting burnt on numerous plays.
2. His teammates told him to stop but he didn’t listen.
3. He’s for the same thing this yr (hard to se win tv) though he hasn’t played well.
4. The effort, or lack thereof, on a FL running play was atrocious. Even Doug Mathews said he should NOT see the field, again.
5. I’m happy about the pick 6. We need him. He is athletic but needs to learn to improve fundamentals in coverage and tackling.

Fans shouldn’t boo but again, but I understand. As a father of two 20 yr olds, I would struggle listening to fans boo my son or daughter.

Hadden doesn’t always give a solid effort. It’s hard to forget the guy who bumped helmets with the USC receivers after every first down he gave up. I was embarrassed that he was a Vol last year and that poor effort had something to do with Hooker trying to do too much when his knee buckled in that game.

I’d rather not hear the fans chant “fk you Beamer” and taunt a team that we should be whipping up on every year. Our football team is at its best when we’re only worried about our football team.

Shouldn’t boo him by any means, but I think it’s mostly because of his antics with his mostly bad play, not just due to the quality of play. Plenty of players can be underwhelming and not get such dislike, but his talk and other stuff added into the lack of playmaking, I think hasn’t helped him. That said, booing him is poor form.

People that hate on Hadden are either lazy or don't know crap about football.

As for your first statement, I, too, thought that at first. It seems like he's completely lost behind the receiver and was just in the right place in the right time to make that interception, but then I remembered that it was 3rd and 22. Dbs were probably supposed to play a little back and give up the short curl routes in favor of guarding the 1st down line. If they throw the curl, come up, rally to the football, and make the tackle.

As for your second paragraph, I agree with everything except I'm not sure if we are able to really gauge the readiness of the DB room as fans. Although this may be an unpopular opinion for this skill group, I trust that the coach knows if the next man up would be a better option. Although I would love to see someone else get some reps at Hadden's spot every so often, it's hard to tell if the backup would be any better. Yes, Hadden sometimes plays without motivation or a braincell, but he might be the best option we have (sadly).

I think there are very few instances where booing is acceptable, mostly coaching decisions. As far as players, it should be never unless they are doing something embarrassing to the program (can't think of a scenario that would happen tho).

Hadden got a little better last night. There is entirely too much crap talking on the field for my taste, across the board, but it’s easier to stomach when they’re winning.

He played way better last night. Not talking just about the interception. He tackled better as well. Just wait till you get to the sideline to celebrate. He always doing something for 15 yards.
He wasn’t the one that got flagged for the penalty, at least not based on the number they called.
