On Monday, I noted the buzz surrounding comments made by Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins, who said that if he won't be given the chance to compete with Robert Griffin III for the starting gig next year, he would prefer to be traded.
If you were to draw up a short list of likely landing spots for him, if a trade were made, the Cleveland Browns would top it. Brian Hoyer proved this season that he isn't their long-term solution, Johnny Manziel somehow left more questions than answers after his rookie campaign, and offensive coordinator Kyle Shahanan has made no secret of his belief in what Cousins has to offer.
So it should come as no surprise that ESPNCleveland.com's Tony Grossi believes that Cousins "may be the Browns prime target among veteran quarterbacks when the team sets its offseason agenda in a few weeks."
