Hail to the Washington Commanders

I think Carolina and Arizona have a better argument for GM of the year.

We're still an at best 9-7 team. We slightly outperformed expectations and fortunately every other NFC East team significantly under performed.

Steve Keim in Arizona won it a couple of years ago, so doubtful they do that direction again. Dave Gettleman has done a good job at Carolina, but Marty Hurney put together the bulk of that roster.

Gettleman is an incredible GM. Hurney acquired a bunch of the big names, but I wouldn't call that the bulk of the roster.

Most predicted 4-5 wins. I think the best I saw was 6, while all had the Skins finishing last in the East.

what's our best win? Again this has more to do with under performance of our opponents as it does us exceeding.

We got beat by freaking Matt Cassell

6 of our wins came against 6-9 teams. The other two wins were against 7-8 teams. If we beat the Cowboys, that will be against a 4-11 team. I'm ecstatic we're in the playoffs and that they won the NFC East for the second time in four years, but I'm not so far removed from reality that I think the Redskins did something remarkable.

I agree about the wins. But the additions SM made (albeit most got hurt) did help. Especially Goldson.

I'll agree with that, but not enough to earn GM of the year.

I also think SM had a lot to do with letting Gruden go with Cousins over RG3. RG3 was Dan's lovechild.

With RG3, the Skins aren't in the playoffs. Cousins has set numerous Redskins records, and still has the chance at a few more.

Hail to the Redskins,
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath,
Fight For Old DC!

Vader, there's room for you to come back.

We might even get an OWB siting in this thread if we're lucky.

Cousins became the first Washington quarterback to throw at least one scoring pass in all 16 regular-season games.

By completing 12 of 15 passes for 176 yards, Cousins is likely to lead the NFL with a 69.8 completion percentage.

He also broke the Redskins record for yards in a single season.

Edit: missed Yanks post on the above part. Keeping my post because of this part:
Oh, and the NFC East Division Champion Redskins beat the Cowboys. Not sure if that part was clear.

The Redskins and NFC North runner-up Packers have not met in the postseason since 1972 when Washington won, 16-3.

Vuck Fader.

The funny thing about Haynesworth mocking the team is that the stars currently on the team are the exact opposite of him. Ryan Kerrigan has a hugely popular charity for special needs children, Cousins drives a 2005 conversion van plus shared an apartment for years, and Alfred Morris drives a 91 Mazda and rides a bike to work.
