Smith is a great game manager. He's designed to get the most out of a very talented team. The Redskins are talent deficient in most areas of offense. This just makes zero sense. They were talking about he was exactly like Cousins, just older. That's bullsh**. They're nothing alike except they put up numbers last season. The manner in which they put up those numbers are completely different.
I'm still over Cousins and his insane contract demands, but trading for Smith was an even worse answer than signing Cousins to those demands. Deepest qb draft in ages and instead we sign a two year stopgap. Unbelievable.
is that not the idea here, though; to cut ties with the toxicity of the cousins relationship, get someone who can manage the team and possibly get deep into the playoffs, and have one of those QBs be the next Aaron Rodgers in waiting?
Smith needs game changers around him. He doesnt have a single one. Cousins helped Doctson and Pryor. If were still drafting one of those qbs this year to replace Smith, were not going to have the cap space to get game changers.

Jackson was a game changer that truly opened up the offense. Theres no one remotely close to his level of talent on offense. And he was very beneficial to the team.
The point is Smith cant create plays. Hes not going to lead anyone on this team anywhere except the basement of the NFL. Smithwas successful in KC because he had legit game changer threats at TE, RB and WR
Do you mean Hill?
The only way Alex Smith to the Skins works out is if they got Andy Reid as well in the deal.
No, at least not in reference to what you bolded. DeSean Jackson was a game changer for the Skins. It was a multi responde answer.
Hill, Hunt and Kelce are all better weapons than anyone on the current Skins roster. Not even Reid makes this a good deal, because Reid would still be handcuffed by Snyder.
Deep into the playoffs?? Hell, we haven't even sniffed the playoffs..is that not the idea here, though; to cut ties with the toxicity of the cousins relationship, get someone who can manage the team and possibly get deep into the playoffs, and have one of those QBs be the next Aaron Rodgers in waiting?
