Groundhogs is actually growing on me. It’s fun, it has the “hogs” name in it, it’s unique, it’s local.

A reporter (John Keim) reached out to Milwaukee (Preds AHL team) and said they were never contacted by Washington for the Admirals name (they'd be good with it though).

every fan in this thread has been quitting on this team for over a decade. Only Vader did. You’re against admirals that strongly?

I would not waste the 11th overall on Pickett personally. Would be very Snyder to do so.

QBs are always overvalued. There's going to be at least 4 taken in the 1st I'd bet.

It's not just the name thing (although a large part), but proximity to actually watching them. Outside of the Redskins and the Yankees, all my favorite teams are in TN (and I'll be living in GA when I retire).

But I don't think I can actually not pull for them at the same time. The Redskins '91 Super Bowl was the first event I can remember getting to stay up "late" to watch.

I’ve been a fan since Williams. I hate Snyder (and I truly mean that), but it’s too entrenched in me. I could never cheer for the Titans. I live 90 minutes from the Panthers and I get mad that I HAVE to be fed their games. I could never cheer for them either. Only other teams I’ve ever been remotely interested in were the Raiders (which died after Bo) and the Packers (solely because of their matching colors to another team I’m hopelessly endeared to despite knowing their ownership will only continually let me down). I’m a WFT, an Admiral, Red Wolf, President, or whatever. It is what it is at this point. Only solace I have is knowing I haven’t spent one dollar towards the team since ‘08 and don’t plan to until Snyder sells.

When I lived in Durham back in the 2000’s decade, seemed liked everyone I knew there were Washington fans.
