Hail to the Washington Commanders

in pure football terms, Daniel Snyder is a moron. The only way he can save any face in his football dealings is to find a team willing to take Haynesworth. He's made mistake after mistake for over a decade. I hope he truly means it when he says that Allen and Shanahan are in complete control of football operations.

I do too because I respect the Redskins.

I'm not a huge fan, but it sucks to see a franchise like Washington run by a moron.

I want to sympathize but I can't.

Suck it, skins. :)

seriously... You 'boys man crush with Danny boy is ridiculous...

Where is the cowboys thread so I can talk endlessly about how much of a moron Jerry Jones is for trying to drill a hole to China?

Glad to see the Skins finally addressing the offensive line. It's just too bad they got rid of Campbell before they did that. That was the problem all along.

Jones is an egomaniac as well. He's made countless idiotic moves with the Cowboys. I for one refused to wear Cowboys gear or watch a game while Adam Jones was on the roster. Jones paid WAY too much for WR Roy Williams and the team will suffer for a while as a result. I feel zero sympathy when an owner/GM pays big money to a guy who they know is trouble or a malcontent.

Roy Williams is neither a malcontent or trouble, he's just not a great WR.

Haynesworth now accepts that the Redskins will not trade him unless they are overwhelmed with an offer. Several people who have spoken with the two-time all-pro in the past few days say he expects to be in Washington this season and would rather not be at war with the organization.

He also was not pleased with his performance last season. He has confided to friends that he wasn't at his best, and is eager to reestablish himself as the league's premier defensive lineman. Haynesworth clashed with former Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Blache last year and longed for the system Detroit Lions Coach Jim Schwartz built around him when Schwartz led the Tennessee Titans' defense.

There is optimism in the complex that veteran nose tackle Maake Kemoeatu, who sat out the 2009 season because of an Achilles' injury, will be recovered to start the season. In a positive sign, the Redskins recently sent Ray Wright, the new strength and conditioning coach, to Hawaii to help Kemoeatu continue preparing to resume his career.

If Kemoeatu is at full strength to start the season, Haynesworth probably would start at end and shift to the nose on third down and in other obvious passing situations. But that's not a full-time assignment.

Maybe Haynesworth will be motivated enough by the idea of trying to lure another team into paying for his lazy, whining ass to play hard this season.

One can hope its the cowboys, vader

Anyway apparently AH "Killed it" on the 1st part of the conditioning test, but had to go to the bathroom and failed the 2nd part. Apparently the 2nd part was 12 50 yard sprints and was a way for the Skins to humble AH.

Redskins bar Albert Haynesworth from practice after flunked conditioning test - The Huddle: Football News from the NFL - USATODAY.com

The test called for Haynesworth to complete two sets of sprints with a break in between. Haynesworth utilized the men's room during the break, an interval that Shanahan said was too long, ESPN reported.

So Haynesworth had to start over and run the second set of sprints as if it were the first. He passes that set, but failed on the third set.

Haynesworth claimed that he could not have passes the third set even in his Pro Bowl seasons. But Shanahan responded that he was not in shape, ESPN reported.

Shanny is driving his point home. This conditioning test that Haynesworth is failing is far harder than normal. It depends team-to-team... but most only require a 300 yard shuttle (either 6 50s or 12 25s with rests). Shanny is requiring Haynesworth to run 2 300 yard shuttles. His first failure on Thursday he passed the 1st 300 yards and then went to the bathroom. Shanny thought he took too long and made him start over again and he then passed the 1st (really 2nd) set of 300 yards and failed the 2nd (really 3rd) set of 300.

I'm not saying Haynesworth doesn't deserve it but he's being set up to fail. He crossed the HFC and Manager and has been a huge moneysink and distraction to a reforming team. But, from what players have reported, Haynesworth is in noticeably better shape (apparently down 30-40 lbs from last year putting him around 300-310).

Agreed... Trent Williams has signed, and he looks really good so far. CP is giving his all. And Mcnabb looks in sinc with his TE Fred Taylor and Cooley.
