She's from Seattle . they said during game there her grandma only seen her play once that being last ncaa in seattle thats close to her home . if she homesick or misses grandma and rest of them ucla/stanford , or does she go where she thinks she can get a champship.

Just reading the write up in the Tennessean. All positives on both sides of Haley and coach Waltz ! She has graduated…, played in three flight eights …. She has a degree in finance !

Does she want to go to the WNBA ?
Does she want a Masters in what. ?
Is a championship important to her ?

Obviously she is no dummy…. I think the advanced degree is important or why leave ? Don’t call her …. She’ll call you ! She knows what she wants , and she will get it as any team would take this caliber of player! JMO

Not sure what the NIL status of Louisville is. It could be a scenario where both saw her market value rise and both knew she couldn’t get what she wanted financially there.

Then that's on Louisville. They need a Terri H. LVBHC saw the need w Rickea and got it done.

More likely, the truth is exactly what we're seeing. Walz, like his mentor Frese, is just going to be a revolving door. Does not inspire alot of loyalty among his troops. Can attract em, can't keep em. Something to be said for the culture KJH has built. Except for the very end of the bench, players stay.

Disagree to an extent…she might be recruiting a loyal player, that’s not translating to E8 or better. Are they loyal because of the culture or are they loyal because of limited options to move up?

I am a proponent of advanced degrees at different institutions….. Not saying you cannot stay and get advanced degree from the same institution! Which is what I did (personally)…. But I think you should go to as good of a program that you can find ! No proof of good , better or best scenario…. Just my opinion 🤷‍♂️

Or move down. Don't forget the possibility of going somewhere you'll be the big fish in a smaller pond. Which you would have thought several of our players would have done as our talent upgrade via portal becomes obvious. But only far end of bench players like Sanders and Miles have done so. IMO most genuinely love the experience.

No, those loyal players haven't translated to E8 - yet - but they can also become very dependable backups, important pieces in the puzzle. IMO it's important to future recruiting to give them that chance. I worry a bit about teams more or less assembling transfer superstar teams with some big ole personalities and egos. Especially when they're all 21 yr olds worth a million dollars. Afraid some ugly imploading is inevitable.

Or maybe loyalty is outdated and "holding the game back" along with sportsmanship. That would be sad.

Agree, cant blame a kid for this. Is it worth transferring down to play more on a lesser team or stay and see what you can get at Tennessee. Each kid is different, Tennessee offers that big campus overall experience.

Big campus experience? UT has maybe 7000 more undergrads than U of L

I don't know if we are in the running, but if we can get her it would give us more offensive production, and provide more insurance at the guard spot. I am sure the coaches would also take chemistry with the current roster in consideration with any new addition to the program.

I understand Van Lith has listed her 3 choices to go to; Indiana, LSU, some school in New England. I think she realizes that the opportunity to go deep in the tournament don't exist in L'ville.

I'm more interested to see what big goes to Iowa to replace Czinano. My bet is Morrow or possibly Betts if she doesn't go to ND.

Don’t be one of those people. They will be fine if HVL goes to LSU. She will be their PG. Reese will be their 3/4 or 5 when needed.
