My wife doesn't lije me cutting my own, but I had to. I have no barber skills, but I can shave it close. Can not stand it too long.

The real reason is they don’t let you in Klan rallies with long hair.

My wife cuts our 2 sons and my hair. I bought the clippers the day we took my youngest to the barber shop for his 1st hair cut. The barber cut a couple of curls off, put them in a baggie, and said "that'll be $8 please", $8!!! That was 12 years ago. Those clippers were the best $75 I ever spent.

Looks good after years of practice....of course since there is no school the risk of embarrassment has gone way down.

Same for me. My wife has been cutting my hair for 15 years. Before that I was spending $20 every 2-3 weeks. Those $30 clippers have saved me over 5 grand and counting.
I will say I kind of miss the barber shop atmosphere though, just something special about the old barber chairs and sounds and chatter.

My mother, bless her, cut my hair when I was a kid. It wasn't enough that I wore glasses and talked funny, I had to have a bad haircut too. I'm old now, but still have bad hair. Not worrying about it now.

That's actually Bug's pleased grin. He is really happy with it and impressed that Daddy possesses hither-unleashed grooming skills.

I didn't tell him I use the same clippers for other purposes.

Like a few other things those numbers represent eighths of an inch. 1 = 1/8 inch, 1 1/2 = 3/16 inch, 2 = 1/4 inch, etc.

My wife cut mine Saturday. I've had worse. I've had better. Depending on how she feels about it, and assuming she'll only get better, I may never pay - or have to wait - for a haircut again.
