The guy has been the best pitcher in baseball for a few years now... I know it's early but this guy is on track to put together one of the best seasons a pitcher has had in recent memory.

That's the second buzz saw the Braves have run into this week. Nothing they can do but tip their caps and try again tomorrow when a guy is throwing like that.

I'm just happy that he is outta the AL East, and that he is on my fantasy team.

I wouldn't say the best, but most definitely the most consistent upper echelon pitcher.

Lincecum is without a doubt the best.

Let him be dominant for a number of years before you give him that honor...let us not forget that Roy has been pitching in the AL East, while Tim has been pitching in the NL West.

Huge difference.

Not that Roy is in the NL he will put up unrivaled numbers...go ahead and give him the CY Young, the race is over.

Roy is the best since Pedro in the late 90's. No Question.

Just pitched a complete game shutout.

Tim is good, he is real good but I would take Roy over any pitcher, any day.

I've seen enough of Halladay to know how good he is, but Lincecum is better. Considering the lack of pop and run support his accomplishments in three short years are even more impressive.

If you think Lincecum wins 4 out of 7 starts against Halladay against identical teams you need to watch more baseball.

So I guess pitching in a division like the NL West is comparable to pitching in the AL East and the AL in general?

Come on man...

Before it's all said and done you will be changing your story.

Lincecum is that good.

I'm not baseball illiterate.

But I'm convinced Lincecum will have a more impressive career when it's all said and done.

The guy is freakish.

Let's see when he goes to those parks-Coors,The Juice Box, GAB,Miller, Wrigley when windy, all those hitters ballparks. It is good he has adjusted to CBP.

You have to figure that Roy will make ( barring injury ) about 32 starts.

I would say the average NL pitcher gets about 2.5 at bats per start, that equals out to 80 at bats by pitchers this year.

80 at bats by a pitcher vs what Roy faced in the AL with the DH.

Now Roy put up very good numbers regardless, now imagine what he is going to get when he is basically given 80 outs a year...he should have an outstanding season.

He may have a better career, but he is not a better pitcher right now.

He will actually have a + increase in the K ranks thanks to the pitcher batting. It will be just phenominal.

He will have a boost in all of his stats...lower ERA, more K's, lower opponents BA....I would be surprised if his ERA is above 2.00 this year.

Lincecum is fun to watch, but he won't have the best career out of his own rotation. Roy could retire today and be a Hall of Famer.

Matt Cain?

Do you think that Tim will become injury prone or something?

Or that teams will finally figure him out and he won't be able to adjust.

No way Roy would make the HOF right now, he only has 151 career wins.
