Happy Earth Day to everyone.

It's Ken KESEY, moron. I spoke with him on the phone once when I was younger and exchanged some letters, as he was one of my heroes growing up. I can guarantee everyone on this board that this is a pile of bull**** and would be willing to contact Mr. Kesey again to prove it!

And you leaving here would truly be a great notion...

I also don't believe for a stupid second that gsvol was not invited to this site by the powers that be. What Vol fan would make a joke about early onset Alzheimer's right now? Should be banned for that alone. Why don't you grow a set, pj, and do it?! Freak emailed me that he doesn't question his Mods when they ban someone. You got your ammo and your license to kill! Do it!

I listened to an interview with Brian Sussman recently, the man really knows what he is talking about, the following is an article about his new book,
“Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America.”

Do you know why Earth Day is April 22?

School children, businesses, clergy, politicians and even the United States military soon will honor the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, founder of the Soviet Union.

Of course, they will call it Earth Day.

Brian Sussman points out in his explosive new book, “Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America,” that the first nationwide Earth Day was held April 22, 1970, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the communist Bolshevik leader.
----------------------

Nelson met with Ehrlich and came up with the idea of the “nationwide teach in” with the purpose of tapping the “environmental concerns of the general public and infuse the student anti-war energy into the environmental cause.”

Nelson selected campus anti-war and left-wing activist Denis Hayes to coordinate efforts for the first “Earth Day.”
-------------------

Organized by radical student activists, built on the model of left-wing “teach-ins” at American universities, and created with the objective of furthering progressive activism, Sussman notes that the movement for Earth Day took to heart Lenin’s adage, “Give us the child for eight years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.”

However, Sussman exposes in “Eco-Tyranny” that the Bolshevik influence goes beyond tactics. After implementing his tyrannical rule over Russia in the October Revolution, Lenin issued a Decree on Land within his first year as Communist Party chairman. The decree declared that all forests, waters and minerals were property of the state.

Lenin also issued the decree “On Hunting Seasons and the Right to Possess Hunting Weapons,” which banned hunting moose and wild goats and ended open seasons for a variety of other animals.

Another resolution adopted by the Soviet government titled “On the Protection of Nature, Gardens, and Parks” established zapovedniki, or human-free nature preserves.
---------------------

Sussman summarizes, “During Lenin’s reign, Russia initiated the most audacious nature conservancy program in the twentieth century. Starting with a vision created by Marx 50 years prior, Lenin had successfully implemented version one of the green agenda. His accomplishments would eventually … [be] celebrated the world over each April.”

Today, Earth Day is the most widely celebrated secular holiday in the world, with almost every major American institution paying it some sort of recognition in spite of its extreme origins. Despite the mainstreaming of Lenin’s anniversary celebration, left-wing activists honor the true history of the holiday by attacking property rights and human economic activity.
-------------------

However, this is only an echo of the plans the Obama administration has to restrict land ownership, American energy production and economic activity.

As Sussman reveals in Eco-Tyranny, the Obama administration has been pushing aggressively to seize hundreds of thousands of acres, as documented by secret memos from within the administration.

Sussman also shows how wealthy progressive activists and Democratic politicians are pushing to create American versions of the zapovedniki by creating human-free “wildlife corridors,” while Americans are forced to settle into highly regulated, heavily populated “megaregions.”

If you doubt for a seecond where Obama really stands on the issue, I offer the following directly from the White House, like from the horses mouth or for thinking people, from the other end of the horse.

Joint Statement by President Rousseff and President Obama | The White House

"Noting the interdependence among peace, security and development, President Rousseff and President Obama reaffirmed their desire to build a just and inclusive world order, which promotes democracy, human rights and social justice."

They welcomed the strengthening of the collaboration on environment and climate change, including under the Common Agenda on Environment and the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation Regarding Climate Change, and agreed to include in the Common Agenda a discussion on the concept of green economy."
------------------------

"The Heads of State reiterated their satisfaction with the Cancun agreements at the 16th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. They affirmed their commitment to the implementation of outcomes of the Cancun Meeting and to enhance efforts in anticipation of a successful outcome in Durban, South Africa."

"They reiterated the importance of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012, and committed to work closely together to ensure its success."

I think he should be banned just so we can see him secretly return, since he clearly has nothing else to do. He already posts A LOT on here, and I'd imagine this board/site is only one of many he spends his worthless time on.

He doesn't live in a basement, guys. He lives on the other end of his mom's single wide.

Too bad, I like you, it's fun to yank your chain daily! :)

Blog: Liberals Litter on Earth Day

There are many things about liberals that are infuriating, but one of the most aggravating is their unabashed hypocrisy. From the President of the United States to Earth Day revelers in a San Francisco park, what sets liberals apart from sane people is that they rarely do what they demand from everyone else. It's almost as if the left's ideology embraced a tenet that if you preach about it, and if you look and talk the part, you're instantly exempt from actually doing what it is you promote.

That talk-but-won't-walk tendency is exemplified when the President talks down the moneyed class and then fills his campaign coffers with gifts from rich people. It's Michelle Obama hawking healthy food and publicly eating anything but. It's the mentality that tries to force generosity by way of government mandate on people who already give, initiated by folks like Joe Biden whose charitable contributions totaled all of 1.5% of his 2011 annual income.

Time and again, liberals prove that secretly they adhere to the motto: "For thee, but not for me." And nothing illustrated that philosophy like this year's Earth Day in Fort Mason and Dolores Park in San Francisco. Spurred by the desire to participate in a 42-year-old event, eco-minded activists from all over descended on green San Francisco's Marina District parks in commemoration of Earth Day. The goal was to draw attention to the global effort to protect the planet, but when the planet-protectors left the premises it was littered with piles of refuse.

Planet-conscious people left behind empty liquor bottles, beer cans -- including the rings that could choke Jonathan Livingston Seagull to death -- as well as pieces of broken-up furniture.

This isn't a unique situation; green-minded Obama supporters were so overwhelmed with joy on the day of President's inauguration in 2009 that they lost their heads and left 100 tons of garbage strewn across the National Mall.
--------------------

When liberals gather for Earth Day and then leave mountains of trash scattered all over a public park, they must feel they have a right to do so, because the mere fact that they care about the planet is worth more in their minds than cleaning up the disgusting mess they generated and then left behind.

But then again, leaving behind messes is what liberals do best. Take Barack Obama for example. While he hasn't literally littered the country with empty Bud suitcases or tossed cigarette butts out the window of his armored limousine, what he has made is a mess of is our economy and foreign policy.

Does your mom care how much koolaid you drink stinky?

No but I did buy a truck load of candles and a box of matches.

If Obama wins again (which seems likely given the level of voter fraud and the fact that some Soros owned vote counting corporation based in Spain with it's head American office in Chicago), then affordable electricity will be a thing of the past.

A train load of incandescent bulbs won't do you any good if you can't produce your own electricity.

BTW, I recomend you buy a muslim prayer rug while you can get it cheap, if Barack Hussein Obama stays in office for another term, everyone will have to have one so as not to offend moslems. (or Gaia, which ever god you so choose.))
