Harbaugh Getting An Early Start

Nebraska proves that theory wrong

Not really.

Most there dont much stock in winning the Alamo or Holiday Bowls.

He probably would have held on a little longer if he wasn't a turd, but he was competing for mid to lower tier bowls he wasn't going anywhere on field.

Had he realed off a couple NCs he would get the Saban treatment. Harbaugh will be no different. Michigan has sucked for a while.

I didn't hear the interview, just clips of it on Russillo and on Finebaum and what i heard sounded like Harbaugh was just being a dick. Cowherd was trying to get something out of him.

If that were true, what's the point in scheduling the interview at all? It's better to decline the interview than to go on a talk show and deliberately act like a dick. I really don't think anyone would do that. I think it's more of a case of Harbaugh being nervous or unprepared or a combination of the two.

He's been a head coach for years, he's been to the Super Bowl, i highly doubt he was nervous. And you don't need to be prepared for the softballs Colin was tossing him. Harbaugh has always been hard to get along with, I think he was the problem, not Colin. I have no idea why he scheduled the interview.

Is Cowherd your hero?

I'm not always on board with Cowherd, but when he cut bait on "this clunker" it was awesome!

I was actually going to start a thread to see if anyone heard him on Cowherd this morning. I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but he came across as not being very bright. I thought Cowherd did a great job of keeping his composure, while Harbaugh was a complete dick.

Maybe he doesn't like cowturd. I sure don't.

I bet Nick Saban doesn't like him...was able to conduct an interview and sell his program anyway. Harbaugh used to be able to do that.

Harbaugh is a winner. He proved his coaching ability at Stanford. Saban sells on Saturday. Saban interviews like he has rocks in his shoes. No need to sell Michigan. I get your point though.

Great coaches don't stop selling their program. We've seen different Saban interviews apparently. I'm not a fan but if I was a recruit and saw him being interviewed? I'd listen to his spiel...Kamara did to his detriment. :)

it was pretty clear to it wasn't a serious interview, especially when cowherd asks about Jim being a cupcake as the first question. I will admit the buy/bye thing confused me too. but any coach worth his salt has to have a better answer than "Uh, I don't know. I don't know."

The "cupcake" term was supposed to reference Harbaugh's less intense daily moments. Loved Cowherd's " yeah" after that and the following responses. The buy thing was definitely all on Cowherd...I think if he had laughed and said "my bad" on that it might have salvaged the whole mess...prolly not though. :)

In my experience of participating in interviews, I've found it takes 2 to produce a clunker! I'll take 50% responsibility 4 this clunker.

Yes he really said this. The guy is retarded.

I disagree, because Cowherd uses that phrase all the time. There's no way it should have confused Harbaugh as much as it did.
