Not gonna have any beers/food in the clubhouse after the round?

And this is a good thread IMO,JMO.
No sir. I will be either alone or with the wife. I will stop and get a hat or a souvenir of some kind and that will be it.

Would like to know how many of the comments come from people that don't play golf or the ones that take 12 mulligans and shoot an 85.

When I say I play bogey golf, I play it down and putt it out.

I am honestly expecting to shoot a legit 105-110 on this course. That is high, I know.

Yeah. Hard courses naturally scores will be easier.

Very tight and if the wind is blowing, 16, 17 and 18 can be unplayable.

But it's about the 3rd best course on the island.

Tell me about Arthur Hills. It looks like I can get an afternoon tee time while I am there for $60.

Worth it. It's a challenging course but still fun. A lot of rolling hills/mounds which means you'll be in an uneven stance from time to time but its not ridiculous. You'll definitely feel like you're in HH, scenery is great, just enough water to be fun. Also, you can use Driver a couple of times, at HTown it stays in the bag.

I put it at 4th or 5th. Arthur Hills is my favorite.

That's a good one. The ocean and sea marsh (which I think has been renamed) at Sea Pines are two of my favorites. Since the redesign, the Sea Marsh course may be as difficult as Harbour Town.

This exactly, if the wind is up coming off the sound combined with the extremely small greens then you can expect to shoot a high, high score. I hit 4 GIR the whole round and only 1 on the back side. I personally didn't think the greens were all that fast though, fairly slow for a PGA tour course I thought, granted I didn't play it 2 days after the Heritage either though.

Arthur Hills is my favorite architect. His courses are challenging with out all the gimmicks. It is a must play.

If you struggle to keep it in play off the tee, then I would just focus on course management and playing smart.

I wouldn't go in with any expectations, just have a good time.

the worst is when the wind is blowing straight down the sound toward the ocean. The crosswind makes hitting the 17th a crapshoot and 18 is dead into the wind....as if you need another thing to make the approach to that postage stamp green more difficult.

I buried one in the bunker on 17 and bailed out so far to the right on my approach on 18 that it was embarassing...ah, the memories. I'm glad I played it but I'm not hankering to play it again.

You're definitely not alone. The approach to 18 just looks ridiculous from the fairway.
I've played it twice and haven't been anywhere near that green yet.

During the Heritage it looks even worse when they put stands around the green. It looks like the pin is almost in the sound.

Btw . . If you have the chance, go to the Heritage. It's about as enjoyable as it gets for watching golf.

#18 is a beast no doubt about it, but looking back on it I don't think there was a birdie hole for me on the whole damn course. I chipped in for birdies on #3 and #6 and that was it for me, I put 2 in the drink on #4 and carded a snowman.

I pared 18 after a monster drive right at the inlet and a Heaven Wood to the fringe. It was not windy the day I played, which was lucky for us.
I carded an 81 from the Dye/blue tees. I was spraying the drive early and spent most of the first nine pulling Chi-Chi's.
