Hardest Hit

Gerald Williams was smashing Tebow from the backside actually giving him a fair amount of extra momentum when he and Berry hit. And Berry still withstood it. Had Tebow not had Williams' added momentum, EB would have buried Tebow..probably would have did him worse than the dude from UK did.

Yeah, no...not even close. The kid from UK got a free release on Tebow standing straight up in the pocket.

Berry and Tebow were two freight trains in a head-on collision, and it was epic.

One of my favorites of all time. They both saw each other coming. Big boy football.

IIRC the UF helmet was broke on that hit.

Manuel didn't know what hit him. Lewis was a beast.

In hindsight I'm glad that play worked...it gave UT's coaching staff confidence to run it again on 4th and 3 later on. :)

I think you and I both know I was being a bit facetious in my comment. But can't a guy come on a Vol site and throw a cheap shot at Tebow these days? What's this world coming to?

My sarcasm meter must be a little off today.

The Tebow-Berry collision is my all-time favorite, because as time passes, the debate over who won and who lost just keeps going.

People try to break it down frame by frame...like it's the Zapruder film of CFB collisions. :)

Leaverton blowing up Peter Warrick .. A very unlikely and epic collision. Was so awesome. But the westmoreland hit, after watching UT football for 31 years, just jumps to mind first thing when talking about hurting a sob.

Yeah, he got jacked up. Those type plays are awesome when both players see it coming. (ala Berry/Tebow)

I remember being pissed right after the fact. After thinking about it, considering Lewis and UTs OL, I wasnt as pissed about the call. UF guessed right and stopped UTs best player.

Jacques Smith absolutely crushing Caleb King a couple years back pops to mind. If anyone can find the link, I'd be appreciative (I'm mobile or I would).

I couldn't find it on youtube but does anyone remember when we were playing Auburn and Cam Newton threw an interception and was just standing there like a mannequin and a Tennessee player just freakin leveled him? Man. I rewound that like 10 times. That was awesome.

Dennis rogan against UCLA QB is worth honorable mention.

If you go by damage inflicted, that hit would rank higher than honorable mention, considering the QB's jaw was broken and had to be wired shut for three weeks.

You think these hits are hard wait til you see the roar of the voles hitting our opponents in the game time series this year

It was a bad call. UF was loaded up on that side and Tee checked off to it anyway.

Oh well, we were screwed that night anyway. Doug Johnson dropped back like 25 yards and then threw the ball straight into the ground while being pressured with no flag.

You can't blame the refs...it wasn't uncommon for Doug Johnson to throw erratic passes when he wasn't being pressured.
