For kids' books I agree, but in the great realm of novels ever, I'm going to disagree.

To each their own. Personally I would put harry in the same category as the lotr series and the hobbit. They're both epic fantasy.

Just got back from this movie. Not much to add except that I was excited to see the trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises."

Your thoughts on The Dark Night trailer?
It was just a teaser, so they didn't show much, and I never read the comics so I couldn't read much more into it (unlike the previous movie, where the Joker was easily recognizable). Still, the first two movies in the series are enough for me to be very optimistic for the last.

I'm not a huge movie guy, but I love this series and I'm really looking forward to the new one.

I can understand that. I've never been a fan of the comics or other comic book movies. I don't know if I've ever even finished a Batman movie prior to 'Batman Begins.'

Saw it with my son today and fell asleep. Haven't seen any of the previous movies so I wasn't too interested.

Part 2 set the highest opening weekend total ever with 168 million, eclipsing The Dark Knights 158 million. Worldwide it made a ridiculous total of 475 million in one weekend.

i saw HP Tuesday night. i give HP 7 a 6.5. it was pretty good, but they could have followed the book more closely without extending the movie. i was expected to be disapointed and it happened.

Just got back from seeing this and thought they did a good job on it.

The final battle was a bit different, but it was probably more effective to portray it like that on screen rathar than how the book handled it. If people thought the movie version was anti-climactic I could only imagine the reaction from people had they accurately depicted how it went down in the novel.

It is definitely hinted at. I wonder if that was an accident? If I had not read the books, I would have walked out thinking Snape was his dad.
