Hopefully it sticks to the book....I understand omitting some parts for time saving sake, but I hope they don't butcher the most interesting book in the series.

I personally wish they would just make a four hour movie that follows the books.....I would watch it.

i think the deathly hallows is supposed to be even longer altogether. they're supposed to be splitting it up into 2 films.

they are going to split it, one coming out in '10, the other in '11. the only thing i think is going to suck about half blood prince is that the director said he's leaving out some of the horcrux stuff, which i think is definitely one of the most important parts of the series as a whole.

as much i'm looking forward to this movie, i'm looking forward to the deathly hallows film in 2010 even more. i loved that book all the way up to the point where they have the break-in at gringotts. after that it went kind of downhill. don't get me wrong, the rest of it was good too, but i thought it could have been alot better. i'm glad they're splitting it up though. there is way too much in that book to be captured in even a 3 hour movie.

these next two(three) moves are going to be very very dark. i'm excited to see how they do hallows, especially the last quarter of the book. i'm ready for november, for sure.

if you all find anything else on this movie, try to post it if you can...i've been waiting too long to see anything about this flick.

the only complaint i have so far is that horace slughorn looks absolutely nothing like he is described in the books.

I think it said he had a mustache as well...There was one part in the book that said he was so short , his feet did not reach the ground when seated on the couch....I hate when they ignore the books description of people.

I heard that the entire scene with Tom Riddle and the Gaunts flashback isn't in the movie and I can't remember but maybe another one as well.

Also they added a scene that was never in the book when Bellatrix and Greyback attack the Burrow during Christmas. That is the part in the trailer with all the running thru the weeds and Ginny is her bathrobe...

see that's what i'm talking about, that's ridiculous. the flashback at the gaunt cabin/house is one of the most visual parts of the book. it needs to be in the movie. AND it shows how evil his mothers side was, which explains a lot more than any of the movies have about voldemort.

i am pretty excited to see what they make greyback like though. i hope they dont let me down on that one.

Good points.

SPOILER ALERT

I'm most excited about the scene at the end with the Inferi....I think that'll be one of the scariest things in the entire series.

I think you can get a quick glimpse of him in the tralier right before it shows Ginny. I assume that that is him.

i hope they dont make greyback cheesy, because in the books he is definitely one of the roughest characters. and about the inferi, if they cut that part out, then they are ridiculous. that leads up to one of the most important parts of the series.

it pretty much comes down to this...

the more they leave out in these next two(three) movies, the worse it's going to be. the stuff they left out in the 1,2,3rd book were mostly okay, because they werent information that was NEEDED. pretty much everything in the last two books is information you need.

I think that is why they are making the 7th one into two movies is because there is pretty much nothing that they can leave out. Pretty much everything leads to another and the story would be incomplete if they take out much of anything.

Totally agree...

the books are mindblowing. i didnt think i'd like harry potter at all until the girlfriend made me watch the first one last halloween on the disney channel. it was either duckman or cbc that told me the books were awesome. i ended up reading all of them within two months. i couldnt put them down.

yeah, i don't like the idea of adding in major scenes that weren't in the book either. it's different if it's not a huge scene that has no effect on the overall story. but an ambush on the burrow seems to be more than just a "small scene." besides, the burrow is attacked in the 7th book. having it happen in the 6th takes away from the one in the deathly hallows, if that makes sense......
