Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

yeah, i don't like the idea of adding in major scenes that weren't in the book either. it's different if it's not a huge scene that has no effect on the overall story. but an ambush on the burrow seems to be more than just a "small scene." besides, the burrow is attacked in the 7th book. having it happen in the 6th takes away from the one in the deathly hallows, if that makes sense......

i completely agree. they should definitely wait and expand the wedding scene a little more in the movie than what the book told, if they're going to do anything with the burrow right now. they need to focus on this being his last year at school, and how his and dumbledores explores come about. the last movie(two) should be the ones they explore battles in. another scene i'm excited about seeing is the harry/malfoy deal.

sorry to keep talking about it so much, but i cant quit thinking about this nonsense once i see something about it.

when deathly hallows is being made, and comes out...i hope they really think about the importance of the deathly hallows and the story before they decide to cut anything out of that part. the journey in the last book definitely needs to be filmed exactly to the words or people could miss out on a lot. the trip back to harrys homeplace, the three brothers, all of that stuff needs to be covered with great description. the last two books are definitely the most important, and i know i'm getting ahead of myself...but the traveling parts and stories that are told in the deathly hallows are incredible important.

sorry i keep posting, i'll try to tone it down a bit now.

I bet it won't be Bill and Fleur's wedding in the seventh movie. Since Fleur was barely in the fourth one and Bill hasn't been in any movie yet, it would be hard to try and develop these two people in one movie. If anything, i can see them changing it into Lupin and Tonk's wedding instead...

O hell ya!!! I can't wait for the next movie in the series to hit theaters! Trailer looks awesome.

On a side note, i need to go back and read the last 2 books again. There is so much going on in these books it is sometimes hard to remember what all happened!

from what i've heard, i don't even think bill plays a part in the movie at all. and i think arthur will be the victim of having his face messed up by greyback instead of bill like in the book...

I think Bill and Fleur was just too many characters to try and get to know and develop in the movies. We've known Lupin for three movies already and this will be Tonks' second.

Also, I feel bad for Arthur if that is true (I have heard that he would be attacked as well). First attacked by the snake last movie and then attacked by a werewolf in the next. Poor Arthur...

the reason behind me saying they should've put bill and fleurs part in, is because i dont want them to leave out the scene in the last movie when they all end up at their house.

yeah. eliminating both of their roles basically screws up alot in the 7th movie. 2 major scenes revolve around them being together.

****SPOILERS****

i've also heard a rumor that dumbledore's funeral won't be in the 6th film, but in the 7th instead. this being so they can make that be the location of the attack instead of the wedding which i find really lame. the funeral was one of the most moving scenes of book 6 and was the best ending of the entire series IMO. it leaves everything very dark and also leads perfectly into the next book.

yeah, the funeral needs to be the ending to this movie. it sets up the first of the 7th book with already a small feeling of defeat. we should have made this movie ourselves.

I am really excited about this movie. I am sure I will end up disappointed, but these movies always fall short for me. Just too much is left out. I understand that they have to, but I just hate it when people who haven't read the books criticize the whole books series after seeing the movies.

So many people are like you ego, that just think that they are really kiddy or "gay" and don't think they would like them. Then they are finally convinced to read one and can't put it down :) I just love seeing that

the later books in the series are anything but kiddy. there's some pretty messed up stuff in the deathly hallows. especially in godric's hollow.

Warner Bros. have postponed the release of the Half-Blood Prince from its original release date of November of this year to July of 2009......That sucks....Its not a logistic thing, it is so they can maximize their profits.....effing ridiculous.

That sucks very badly....I hope at least there will be a lesser gap between this movie and the tow parts of the Deathly Hallows....doubt it though, its all about the money.
