Haven't gotten into the books but I've really enjoyed the movies. So, can't wait until this one comes out.

I think that would be the best way to start it out. With the funeral footage. It's kind of an integral part of the story, dont you think? Showing him in the stone coffin as well as the wand?

i think it's a crime they didnt end hbp with the funeral. i think they'll do at least a small scene, though, because i dont think jk would want them to leave it out.

yes. The movies have generally sucked. Books got a little formulaic over time (but Half-Blood Prince broke that mold), but were extremely well done.

The first three especially, but they are all together good reads. You could tell Rowling grew as a writer throughout the series.

With all the hoopla about the film I never considered a new Aberfoth dumbledore, just ran across this and wanted to pass it on. Had anyone caught this? I have not seen it posted.

really? a countdown? now you really do sound like my 10 year old. she was lamenting the fact that this Friday couldn't come soon enough for her last week. I assume you are pretty much in the same boat as her.

Trying to decide if I want to go Thursday night at midnight or go Friday during the day some time. All the wierdos will be there for the midnight release lol.

Everytime I think of a Harry Potter opening night midnight showing, I think of the house party on Yes, Man.

I have seen all the movies, but haven't read any of the books.

For those that have done both, is it worth going back and reading the books?
