Kentucky is a benchmark, tells us where we are as a program. If we're having trouble with Kentucky then we have the wrong coach.

Kentucky is back to their normal place in the SEC winning 5-6 games a season and getting beeyotch slapped by Tennessee every season.

I have not seen physicality from a Vol defense like against Kentucky in years. Cats never seem to create a mismatch that worked and the front and edge pressure were smothering. IF…big if…but if our D plays like they did tonight…we will be a tough out rest of the year. Add special teams to that assessment as well. Didn’t mention offense because…well.. we just did what we’ve done for a while now with the offense…absolutely awesome!!

Don’t remember the year. As I was walking back to my car from Commonwealth Stadium before it became a grocery store after the annual UK beatdown, a UK fan approached me. He said “I hope you guys beat Vanderbilt”. This was a week after UK had lost to them. Vanderbilt is the UK benchmark.

We had more than a little to do with how UK looked last night. Impressive game by the Vols.

When your offense only plays at about 80% and you still score 44 that's a good thing. That's about 4 games worth of points for a Pruitt coach team.

UK is a pretty good team however football is a game of matchup and this was a bad matchup for UK. As I stated on Ainge show last week, UKs line is not good and the strength of our d is the front 7. Bad matchup. 2nd our offense against anyone but against UK bad matchup. Their D weakness is our strength. Bad matchup. I have to apologize on my prediction though as I thought we win by 28. We won by 38. Tennessee is getting better each week as the defense is now feeding off the offense success and taking chances because not scared to make a mistake because they know the offense will score. Going to be another amazing game this week with Georgia. Tossup game now IMHO. Before season I thought we had no shot.

I actually believe the KY team is on par with last years team. One of the games they lost they had a backup QB who was not ready for prime time. Tennessee on the other hand is a much better team this year. More depth, 2nd yr in the system, and have progressed alot as the year has played out. Last yr 3rd and long was as painful for the defense as 3rd or 4th and short for the offense. Both issues have turned around and seem to improve every week. Talk about taking care of business.

We forced them to play bad. From the environment, to the play on the field. We beat them in every stage of the game. Crowd noise, intimidation, and play on the field resulted in what you saw last night.

Brought back some bad memories of the last time KY played at Neyland. We threw 3 consecutive interceptions, 2 were pic 6's. We fired our DL coach @ halftime. We quit by the 4th quarter, worst experience I have personally had in Neyland. Consoled myself with 2 mustard soaked Smokey dogs hoping to slip into a coma, but like the idiot I am stayed and yelled til the end. Last night was a production. The half time show was one of the best I have ever witnessed. Don't know about the rest of the world, but some things seem to be getting back to the way they should be. Tennessee football, it just means more.

The LSU line we played against may beg to differ. To your point how does that happen when your coach has been at a place as long as Stoops, recruiting to your need?
