"Some people are gonna try to convince you that our 7-6 isn't as good as some other schools' 7-6."

-Butch struck a nerve. Spurrier can sure dish it out, but he cant take it.

I don't blame him. Spurrier has repeated over and over that he's at SC to stay yet people keep bringing up his damn age. I'd be annoyed too. One 7-6 season does not make a trend and people are overreacting to it. He's mad at Bradley and he's mad at his hometown paper for continuing to run quotes and articles trashing Spurrier from the UGA fanbase.

No problem. Butch Jones wants him to stay another ten years.

Oh wow. Except, who gives a shat. Jones owns Spurrier. It will only continue, please do not retire.

Wins are wins and I'll give you that. Hopefully we make the play in the 4th quarter this year to seal the victory like we failed to do the past 2 years.

For the first time, we are ahead of you on talent. The fourth quarter will be irrelevant.

The Ol Ball Coach is nothing but a sound bite anymore.

We have the hottest HC in the SEC East (and possibly the entire SEC), and a roster loaded with young talent. CSS knows that his best years (and teams) are behind him, so he has to justify his relevance by taking shots at other teams to the media.

Good thing Spurrier undercut a little bit of his negative recruiting tactic (although I think there are a couple more coaches more guilty).

Yes, it's definitely negative recruiting using Spurrier's age and not that Steve has beaten him exactly 0 times.

Watched a tape of that press conference and thought the same thing I did when he stomped out of the PC after the Tennessee loss: "He gon cry when he get in the car!"

That's funny, I thought the same thing about Bradley when I read that article.

Bradley is a reporter and constantly dishes it out but doesn't call random press conferences to try to "clear the air". Congrats to the Ole Ball Coach because he made the situation worse. Dude was a crybaby in DC too

Fulmer made him quit at UF when he beat him in what was billed as "The Biggest Game in Florida Field History" (2001) and Butch is going to make him quit at SCarolina when he beats him for the third time in a row this year.

A lot of people would say Spurrier made Fulmer quit at UT.

How is that when he was .500 against Fulmer at usc? I would say the Wyoming head coach played a big part in Fulmer leaving

*This is a joke about him losing that game and how Spurrier didn't have much to do with it

Spurrier is 5-5 vs the Vols while at SCarolina. And he says this is the greatest 10 year run in South Carolina history and it coincides with the worst 10 run in Tennessee history. Spurrier looks like an lost old man. Wish he would retire before he embarrasses himself any more than he already has.

I don't know last year was pretty entertaining watching them find news ways to cough up double digit 2nd half leads and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

USC has been a dumpster fire for the majority of its existence in college football. The idea that the prime of USC football has been under Spurrier is spot on. And while he had a poor year last year, he won 33 games the 3 previous years and 9 the year before that.

I think his job (specifically 4 of his last 5 years) at USC is more impressive than what he did at UF.

its obvious you don't know UT history since it after the USC game that it was announced he would not return the following season. Wyoming was the next game. He was gone whether they won or lost against the Cowboys

It was a joke about him losing that game and how Spurrier didn't have much to do with it. I could have said it was because he started to get lazy recruiting, that 2 of his last 4 seasons were below .500, they made a horrible hire at OC for the personnel UT had, and really the only reason he stuck around for as long as he did was because cutcliffe came back but I didn't think people would take it for more than it was
