It’s not so different from the Vols schedule. Sure it’s tougher to play Bama than Auburn. That is the only major difference.

UGA was supposed to open at OU, but the SEC killed it.
If not mistaken I think OU was to be our second game. However your point stands. It’s not exactly our fault the schedule looks so weak. SEC took away OU, and FL and AU are seemingly down at the moment.

Many argue that GA should have replaced OU with a better opponent. Sure we should have but who? It’s kinda short notice to find a quality D-1 program. We are lucky we got Ball St. I’m sure we are paying them significantly to come to Athens and get the crap beat out of them.

Stop that ridiculous game In Jacksonville and start playing at each others house, until then, stfu, and Happy 4th
Yeah I actually agree. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed the WLOCP in the past, but it’s by far mostly just a celebration for rich folks. I’ve been fortunate enough to hob-knob with them a few times and it’s pretty fun, but it is what it is. A great excuse to get out your yacht and sail it to Jax. And mingle and talk **** with all the other rich people. I’m not downing it, if I had a yacht I might do it every year also. Sincere Happy 4th to you as well!!!

Playing Florida early, especially early in Gainesville, is tougher than playing Florida in late Oct in Jax. Florida is always tough early but if things don’t go well, they’ll quit by the time the Ga game comes around. See a couple of the last few games as examples.

That by itself ... is a big deal. Of course, it's not Georgia's fault that the Oklahoma game was cancelled. Nevertheless, it is a soft schedule.

There's a trade off with those neutral site games like TX-OU and FL-GA though. Sure they never play each other on the road but they never play each other at home either. Would you play Florida in Jacksonville annually at the cost of never playing them in Neyland? I'm not sure I would. Also, you get situations where you only have 3 conference home games every other year because one of your home games is actually a neutral. OU fans are already crying about that their first year in the conference on an 8 team schedule. They have 3 conference home games, Bama, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Our schedule superiority over UGA rests primarily on the fact that Bama is much better than Auburn. Not much difference between Virginia and Georgia Tech, then who knows who will actually be better between A&M and Ole Miss. A&M has more talent but as a practical matter the last couple of years, Ole Miss has been better. Then we both have the regular diet of SEC East foes.
